Agh! I hate being in Canada!

Hey PJ! DD is doing a unit on Canada right now. We did a word search tonight shaped like a maple leaf with words like canoe, woods, lakes, and canadian.

They started the unit by watching "Brother Bear" in class.

OMG!! I got home tonight to the pool waterfalls going and a note saying we could go swimming!!!! We did in fact go swimming!

Had Olive Garden, watching Grey's and considering a Mai Tai or a wine.....

It has a waterfall too?! Awesome!

Many Canadians have never been to the woods or even seen a canoe, lol. I guess I really am a Canadian, as I have done all the above, lol!

I don't mind the crappy medicine, really (drives DH crazy, though), as long as it's not the stuff I sort of know about. The heart transplant storyline is just too much. And the intern/resident thing drives me nuts. For example, DH was an intern back in 1990. Then a general surgery resident, until he completed the general surgery residency in 1998. Then he did a cardiac surgery fellowship, so he was a CT surgery fellow for 3 years.

(Oh, and they have no time to look beautiful or have decent relationships!)

But that doesn't make good television.

Our son will be entering medical school next fall and I can tell you there is no room for half of the stuff that those people do in the shows, and he is just going into the academic end of it! I am almost afraid for him when he get gets into residency!!

DH just asked what I was watching and I said GA and he said "My cousin told me on the train this evening that you would be watching that and I said No, you don't watch it and she said Oh yes she is...everyone is"
