We had such a difficult time coming up with names for our kids that I thought they would never have names. DH and I both like very different names. I prefer more traditional names and DH likes wierd ones with incorrect spellings. ;)

With DS I wanted names like Andrew, Matthew, Joshua, Justin, etc.. DH couldn't really think of any but he jokingly referred to Cougar as a name. For a girl I liked all kinds of names like Abigail, Reagan, etc.. DH wanted Angel - that was it. Nathan was not even a name on my list but when we were driving back from his parents one day we were going through names like crazy and DH said Nathan and I immediately knew that was what his name would be if we had a boy. I immediately suggested Nathan Alexander but DH didn't like the middle name. He liked Nathan Cole. In the end I won because after what I went through to have DS I don't think DH could have done anything else. Before we knew we were having boy we had decided on Kimberly Grace if we have a girl but DH was wanting to spell her name Kymberleigh!

For DD we had a boys named picked out pretty easily this time. We thought Nicholas would be a good name to go with Nathan and we would call him Nick. We never got around to deciding on a middle name by the time we found out we were having a girl. The girl name was harder for some reason Kimberly no longer sounded right to me and I just didn't think it would be a good fit for her. DD still wanted Angel. We thought we had come up with a good name Annabelle Leigh but then we found out there was a creepy poem by Edgar Allen Poe with the title Annabelle Lee and we decided the name was a bad idea. We were back at square one and I was really convinced that we were never going to come up with something. Then one day I was talking to DH on the phone here at work when the subject of names came up and oddly enough we both came up with Allison at the same time. We both just knew that was it and that we would call her Allie. We then both suggested Nichole for a middle name. The spelling took a little longer to come up with. I liked Allison and if I remember correctly DH liked Alyson. I liked Nicole and he liked Nichole so we compromised with my spelling of Allison and his spelling of Nichole.

Don't worry, there are Palo ressies left. I just made mine this week, and though the page showed almost no brunch ressies left, there were dinner ressies available for most nights.

They will also probably open up more ressies later.

:thumbsup2

Well that is good to know. I know when were were all up at 3 AM they went fast!

My channel said that it all starts at 9. Is that what you guys have heard? Now I am paranoid. I will have to go dig out my TV guide.

This is what Yahoo TV has listed for 8

Grey's Anatomy
"Complications of the Heart"
Key moments from the second season; a longer version of the music video for "How to Save a Life.''

I guess I will have to miss it since I can only recoed one thing at a time on my dear old VCR! :rotfl:

I'm a lot like your DH, I like unusual spellings for names. My DD's middle name is Alyson. ;)

My DSIL is about to pop...she is VERY pregnant. Her first 2 children flew out at lightening speed. She literally did not push at all with #2. The doctors told her that she will be induced because they are afraid if she goes into labor at home she won't make it to the hospital. At her visit last Thursday they DR. said that if she were 2 more days along they would have induced labor. She goes today....I think today will be baby day!!!!!!!

I may be at the hospital tonight. I am sure I will be back by 9:00 ;) . I am excited and nervous for her.

I currently have 4 neices all under 4. DBrother and his Preggy wife are working on 3 and my DH's sister and her DH have 2. DId ya get all that?

Anyway this will be the first boy! (other than my son, who obviously isn't my nephew...)

Sorry for the ramble.

Wishing her luck and prayers for an easy and uneventful delivery! Give her congrats from us!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Oh, the heart transplant storyline is annoying me more and more and MORE. (note to self: it's a TV SHOW!)
Isn't the one who cut the LVAD wires a resident? (and probably not a CT surgery fellow/resident). Yeah, they're making decisions with UNOS.
Oh, and like the blood type is the only deciding factor. You need similar body sizes too.
(Disclaimer: I have no medical knowledge. I just have to listen to DH take all of the transplant phone calls in the middle of the night.)
And yes, I know ER has gone downhill, but I will stick with it anyway.

:rotfl: I don't even pay attention to the semantics, I just watch for REAL storylines! GA didn't start off like ER in the way that the medical stuff was the show. It has always been about the people. Funny thing is that I didn't get into ER until everyone else got out of it! I hadn't seen any all summer and thought maybe it was cancelled.

Back on that 1 Woman 6 Men in an office thing. I just thought of this, IDK why.

We don't work in an office building but in an office park. So, we have to provide our own "facilities". Well, even though there are only 7 of us, I get my own bathroom. :rotfl: We put a sign on it that says "Women" but I really wanted one that says "Patsy".
Oh Patsy you need to do that! It is so funny!!!!

Brandi - tell her to get a spicy mexican meal to go, drive over to the Emergency Room and sit there and eat it and see if she goes into labor! She will either A) stink up the room and they may ask why she is there...to which she can answer to be close to a dr. or B) go into labor and voia...doctors!!!
:rotfl2:

Karen, you are too much!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Are you still on that medicine?? :teeth: ;)

And on the posts requests.....we do take bribes to keep our posts at a minimum....but kind requests usually don't work for this group. We're on mission...right Brandi and Becka?????
That is right! If you want "mission" details you will have to send one of us a PM!!!!

My DMom just called me with "the rest of the story" from my DSILs visit to the DR today. The doctors wanted to induce her labor today. They are afraid she will have this baby at home. My LOONY SIL REFUSED!!!! She wants it to happen naturally. My mom was very upset because her doctors really did not want her to leave today. I think she is being foolish. My mom said they were even telling her about using a garbage bag and twist ties to tie off the cord. They are very concerned. Why can't she see this??? Honestly, she has always been very head strong and a little strange. All I can do is pray for her and that the baby is born safely at a hospital.

Now that puts a different twist on the story Brandi!! I hppe she knows what she is doing. Her "natural" birth may be more natural than she wants!! :rotfl: maybe you should have a talk with her.

DD8 heard about "pirate day" in school! Aarrgghhh pirate: I thought maybe it was a DIS thing. :rotfl:

We are taking the kids to picture people tonight. I am having their picture taken with Jake wearing a McNabb jersey and Eliza wearing an Eagles cheerleader outfit. It will be so cute!!!!
