the Dalai Lama is coming to Woodstock on thursday - it's kind of a big deal for this little town. But that is when we have to leave for the airport. I really hope we get to see his "procession" or whatever they are calling it go by but on the other hand I don't want to miss my flight. For security reasons they are keeping it all very hush hush.

the monastery here has a special apt. that was built for the Dalai Lama about 20 years ago when the monastery was first built and it has never been used.
He has been planned to visit for a long time and it is finally happening.

the local bed and breakfast has a banner across the road that reads
"Hello Dalai". I thought it was kind of funny but some people might not. It is typical for woodstock though. LOL.

the kids are looking forward to the Halloween party at Disney and we are trying to decide what costumes to bring.

the sales on Disney direct are pretty good right now for new costumes.
We are looking at one of the fairy ones.

well I told you all about my day. I spent most of it on the phone catching up with calls I haven't returned.

Did I mention that I call the laundry room my office - the rest of the day I was in the office.

and carrying more stuff to the office.

and now I am out of laundry detergent.

Lisa - were you given any requirements for your ruins tour - like sneakers, bug spray, water etc. Just wondering and planning ahead.

I see Patsy is also on the Kohunlich tour - looks like we are the only ones.

It was a wedding like no other. It was beautiful but VERY wild. I am a little nervous to give the details.

I am so happy you had no break out! You must have lovely skin! Doesn't it feel so good!!!

Lisa---how can you see a brunch if you have one booked? I've tried looking daoly at Palo for tea and nothing comes up.
I came home today to our pool pebble tec'ed -- in the wrong color. It was supposed to be (pirates of the) Caribbean blue and it is GREY. PMG if we wnated that color we would have gone with reg marcite and had some nice mosaic decorations in it.....
also a bill on my door for the electric (moved underground) mind you DH dug the entire path for the burial, we paid the elec co for the pvc pipes (had to) and DH laid all the pipes and covered. We did get a new fuse box but the bill was $3650!! I was so nor expecting that!

Then my afternoon was spent out our "new gym facility" (hasn't opened yet)run under the hospital it is a gym, rehab center, state of the art fitness yadda yadda yadda. These people were trying to tell me that credit card machines can't be settled without access to managerial levels, etc....and although we, as a hospital are NFP, this will be FP and they are trying to use our tax exempt status. Since I also handle the taxes, I have huge issues with that.All in all a headache.

Everyone is still asleep, or maybe working!! I'm glad the Jags won last night. Something about Cowher rubs me the wrong way, not to mention almost all Florida teams lost this past weekend....aside from UF, USF, Jags....

Are you kidding Vanessa? You don't like Cowher because you LOVE the Browns! There is not a Browns fan in the world that loves anything to do with that team from Western PA.

My BF (the bride) and I decided that we will do it for our birthdays every year. (our bd's are less than 2 weeks apart.) Spa at hershey is also my local spa. I actually went there overnight with my DH for a little get away when we only had one kid. We at at the dining room...it was wonderful. I did have one spa treatment. I had the chocolate bath...but it was nothing like the massage and facial. Those treatments are what have me HOOKED!!!!

OK, I'm just curious, is this like the fountain that you dip the strawberries in at big parties? Do you really take a bath in chocolate? Does the chocolate just go down the drain when you are done? Is this a "couples" thing?

Inquiring minds need to know . . .

When I did it they actually put cocoa in the bath! It was so cool. You can also buy chocolate smelling shower and bath stuff!

Ohhhhhhhh . . . .

I had all this "Willy Wonka" type imagery floating around in my mind.
