He bought a how to ebay book. I went to sleep while he was still trying to figure out what the "error" was on his posting. I think there are some regular ebayers on this thread that might be able to help out though.

I think often the corp. has these deals with Dell and others but the same discount is not rolled out to employee purchases. It might have something to do with the support offered or warranties.

We need a new laptop as well - our screen is kaput. We love this Toshiba but it just didn't seem to hold up.

Ok, I don't understand why companies would not let you do this. If we have an employee or family member that wants on, they send the specs to our purchasing guy, he gives them the price. We order the computer, they give us a check. No biggie!
