I'm packed, just have to put my toothbrush in tomorrow morning. We have to be at the airport at 9 and it is an hour drive so we are in good shape.lillygator said:shouldn't you be packing?....starting a TR????
How's the spider bite? Hopefully she is ok!!
TanaL said:Your grandparents made a smart choice! I came here as a baby on a green card from Canada; my parents thought they would move back but they ended up staying and moving around the U.S. a lot. I lived the longest in California but married Paul who is from Minnesota. I became a US citizen here. Paul's business is here and he's self-employed... so we'll probably never leave. I wouldn't mind moving to Florida if I could stay away from the hurricanes!! For now I will have to be content just vacationing there as much as I can. I'm also really intrigued by Colorado --no humidity and bugs. The three things I can't stand are bugs, humidity, and snow -- all standard fare in Minnesota. We're planning to visit out there next year.

Any news on the spider bite? I hope they went into urgent care after all!
Our DS and DDIL live in Phoenix and they love it.tynkerbell said:A great place to avoid bugs, humidity and snow is the southwest. I grew up mostly in Arizona and have lived in Nevada for 15 years and if you can handle the heat it's great.
MrsMork said:We are in a fairly small town and would be easy to find. We have been on this board for several years and no crazies have looked us up yet! We are still waiting.....![]()

MrsMork said:I called and her DH thought it "don't look no worse than yesterday", and he did not see any red streaks, so they put some drawing salve on it tonight. If it is not better tomorrow after work she will go to urgent care.
Her DH is a, ah, let's see, Larry the Cable Guy comes to mind.
Been going on since Monday morning, so I guess one more day will be ok. Probably just make the healing process take longer.

kimerinc said:oh my I forgot to ask one more question. DD is seriously allergic or has a horrible reaction to the fake smoke, like in the nutcracker during the snow queen part. She gets a very intense headache and then starts screaming (or at least she did the first 2 times we had this). Do they use it in any of the shows? As long as we sit pretty far back, she is ok, but it would be nice to know in advance...
Thanks!

kimerinc said:Now I am in core dump mode. sorry! Today we got a call from a former employees sister. We really liked this employee, but had to fire him for sexual harrasment about 6 months ago. Nothing overt, but he had been warned. Anyway, he committed suicide today. I just feel so sad for him and his family.

Now if I could just find some decent airfare!!
I'll give it another 2 weeks or so, checking daily, and then just bite the bullet if they don't come down.

Jhalkias said:Does that mean that we should not continue to talk about the talent show on the ship where you volunteered him to sing the solo piece from the musical "The Sound of Music" - "Climb Every Mountain" , while dressed as a nun and using a banana for a microphone?![]()
Should I not say anything about that?
