Does anyone have a pre-teen that might want to teach my DS(6) some chess moves? He just started playing and he would love to learn from an older player. I just bought him a way kewl chess set from Target designed by Michael Graves (Swan architect). oh, you say it doesn't matter what the pieces look like? ok.

yes I agree - absolutely will be 30k before December.

who got 10K?

Elaine it took until the beginning of August 06 (from December 04) to reach 10,000 and then just under 5 weeks to reach 20,000. I think 30,000 by Columbus/Thanksgiving Day, considering that everyone will be in school as of tomorrow.

Now after all that 20k fun I have to go back and catch up. :)

Since it is such mad chaos here when we reach a big milestone we need to somehow simulate this on the cruise. We can post a big 50K or something banner (because that is probably where we will be by then  ) at one end of the ship. We all line up at the other end and take off. A race to the banner....can you just see this group? :lmao: :lmao:
Pushing and shoving to get thru a door. :lmao: :rotfl2: I'm in!

LOL - just remember several of us are getting manicures before the cruise so our cutlasses will be sharpened me hearties.

Hmmmm... 7 day underwear for DD 7....

I love the boys 7 pack of Disney underwear they sale. They seem to be really good quality and DS loves them. I bought him some in larger sizes so when he outgrows the ones he has now he will still have some.

Besides they are really cute. DS does not like to wear clothes in the house so he mostly runs around in his underwear so I get to see them lots. :lmao:

DrHug will tell you that it does matter what the pieces look like. He has several sets and always wants another when he sees a kewl one. :sad2: Oh and that is one more expensive hobby we missed way back when we talked about that.

Now if you got $75 worth of stuff, would they give yo the free shipping and THEN take off the $15 or do you actually have to but $90 so is $75 for free shipping?? :confused3 :scratchin

In case you did not already figure this you have to have a total of $75 for the free shipping after discounts are applied. So yes you have to have $90 worth of stuff to use the $15 and still get free shipping.

I know, I always see the greatest sets - in the city I saw beautiful ones - storing them is the problem because they are delicate. Besides, my son is more into the battle aspect of it but he does like that this set is magnetized.

It is a very well thought out design that also triples as a checkers and backgammon set.

Did we talk about expensive hobbies? I missed that. In the east, skiing is probably one of the more expensive hobbies. Also, hubby is a pilot and that is not cheap either.

I must say, I would rank scrapbooking right up there - I could be an investor at Michael's. We also have a great chain called Keepsakes that has btful papers.

Is anyone ordering more from Disney shopping that could add on a Wakiki dress.

I need an extra one but don't want to pay a full shipping for just one item...
Just incase this got missed in the posting frenzy. If you need help getting past the $75 free shipping, Kristina will help.

Well, I stopped that a few years ago. It doesn't matter what they look like for playing purposes, but it is fun to see all of the different designs and character sets. I have missed out on quite a few reall good ones over the past few years. Years ago, when I was working for Xerox, we made a neat one at work, out of old Xerox machine parts. That was way back when Fischer ruled. Now I may just have to dig them all out MrsMork!

We have a lot of good chess stories.
