12/09/06 Cruise Continued ~ Pirating Bananas DIS Geekorama Part 2 Part 5

I jst heard that only 12 people in the last 100 years have been killed by sting rays - they said you would really have to work at it to have that happen. Some of those adventurers have death wishes I think. I see it with people hubby knows that are climbers - they just take adventure to the extreme. But maybe you have to.

Hubby is in Kenya now and did not make the peak he went over to do - got caught in a hailstorm - so he is major bummed. Now he is headed to Zanzibar to go diving.
Finally got an email from him this morning. Not a lot of good communication there.

We leave for WDW in 2 weeks - a bit of a contrast. LOL.

My parents called the police on my sister who was 35 at the time when she did not call to say she had gotten home ok after visiting them. They came and rang the doorbell and my sister was mortified.

Yes, we talk about the cruise everytime we talk. He remembers it from when he was 3 and is really excited to go again. We were a large group when he went before, so this is his first cruise with Grandpa and Grandma all to himself. He has taken trips with us, but nothing this big. We took him camping and on some of our roadtrips when they lived here.

Angie - I am sure you'll have a great time this weekend!! Hope the weather is great out there!

My mom just stopped by....we sort of had it out last night. I had basically bottled up my anger toward her over the years and I finally let it all out. She left in tears yesterday and I spent most of the night crying as well. She came over today and apologized and actually told me my points were valid and that she will try and work on the issues going forward. I'm sure a lot also has to do with fear of not hearing from me and not seeing the girls. Even though I was upset last night I felt and do feel much much better. I've been walking on eggshells around her my entire life basically and I no longer feel the need to think if her first before doing anything. It feels good.


So today my house is a disaster....and I don't care. I am going to DIS and enjoy the day!

Cool Aaron - What do you think Lisa?

Notice Aaron, I did not get on you about the beard . . . I grew one once when we were dating, but my beard does not come in too well. I have that "scraggly mountain man" or "Greek Monk" look. Not too appealing on me.

DS is now growing a beard - typical college kid attitude to look older - Oh how that will change in the future!
