I just finished ordering pirate costumes and Halloween costumes - kaching kaching.

why couldn't I just persuade them to be pirates for Halloween too. Of course I talked DD into being a geisha.

Somehow we are only on Day 3 of K and DD is sick already. I am just looking over at her now and her cheeks are just on fire.

Do I need to call the parents of the girl who sits next to her on the bus and warn them?

I think that evening soccer practice did her in. You know the one where the coach says 1/2 hour is long enough for that age and 1 hour and 15 min. later he is still running them around?

it's going to be a long weekend.

Allears has pics of the new parade at WDW. I know this sounds neurotic but I hated that parade with the snowglobes because that made me feel really claustrophobic and I had trouble watching it. Just the thought of being enclosed in a plastic bubble in the middle of the afternoon in the hot florida sun makes me shudder. LOL.

so I am really excited to see the new parade - it must be 10 years since the other one had been revised right?

Can someone tell me about photos on the ship? Is it possible to get a CD the same way you can at WDW? Do you get a photopass just like at WDW and then choose your pics or how does it work.

I am hoping to get some nice shots from formal night and pirate night at least.

No, it is not like WDW. There is no photopass. The pics are displayed for you to see and pick from to buy.

I have to stay up while the eggs are on. I actually "burnt" hard eggs before!! Forgot about them and all the water boiled out. Not a pretty picture or a pretty pot!

Caroline - I don't really have a big group - it is only 5 of us. I plan on taking the kids to the dining room for some of the first 3 nites to see the restaurants and see if they enjoy being there - NOT. and then the rest of the time except for pirate night I will probably just check them into the kids club and let them enjoy that while we have a quiet meal.

We have Palo on day 6 and might try for Day 7 too.

We are trying hard to make this an adult vacation as well as something the kids will enjoy. I'm sure I will fall back on including them in everything but we really want some alone time - the first in almost 6 years. We just haven't made ourselves the priority for so long that I forget it's possible.

I feel selfish for saying it but we have really set it up to try and be a good time for every age group. MIL will be happy spending time with the kids and says she will stay with them in the late evening while we go dancing etc. And they can both stay in her cabin for sleepovers some nights. She is actually really excited about the trip and so am I.

My kids are also excited and can quote me parts of the DCL dvd by heart. It's kind of funny, They love the characters and love the kids club at WDW.
They are pretty adventuresome and I just think they will have a great time.

We are spending our last night at the Nick hotel before flying home to reality and school.

oooh I don't know why I wrote all that - I'm just exhausted and when hubby gets home I am going to crawl into bed for several days. LOL.

We do look froward to meeting all the DIS families at late dinner - actually I am happy that it is a smaller group - I am not a huge crowd person either.

anyway, sorry for babbling. I think I wrote that because you seem to stay up late like I do. Jaea was sick with high fever and I like to keep watch - she seems better this morning already.

and it is sunny here - I love that. ONce winter settles in, it is a long one.

DD is currenly watching The Parent Trap for the bajillionith time - although it is when the lizard is on Meredith's head which was pretty funny.

Heading out for the day once I fix her new Webkinz - for whatever reason I can't connect into it - wonder if server traffic to the site is high and they can't process...
