Our passports are ordered. We got the photos done at Walgreens and DrHug's was really, really BAD. When we took them to the County Clerk the young lady who helped us said "You look WAY better than your picture!" :lmao: :rotfl:

Did anyone else hear that story about a girl who got her passport photo taken and the passport processing center rejected her application b/c the photo had her in an off the shoulder shirt and they said the photo might offend some people in foreign countries. I honestly heard that this AM on one of the talk shows but we were heading to church and there was noise in the car so I couldn't hear if that was a hoax. If it wasn't - then YIKES!!!

You cannot buy drinks at the stands and then bring them on. They check you again before you get on the plane. Not everyone, but randomly. Food is ok as long as it is not yogurt or jello.

Kim

Thanks for the update Kim. Hope you had a nice trip.

Wow. And yes it is expensive, and time consuming. I used to have a friend, YEARS ago, who's daughter was National Juniors Champion. She quit skatine when she was seventeen because she wanted to enjoy her last year of High School. She did cheerleading. I think she had the same coach as Peggy Fleming.
It is such a difficult sport. Give her my blessings and May She WIN !!!!:cool1:

Thanks Dr. Hug! She loves it! As long as she loves it it's ok with me. I thought because she was so young, that the competitions would be low key, low stress with the parents all just proud that thier kids did it, but it was a lot more competitive than I thought! Holy cow I had no idea! She couldn't tell because she was with her coach who is a doll, so she just thought it was fun!

:thumbsup2 I got DD and DS some nice clothing at the outgrown shop. I got DD a corduroy gap dress with matching hat from last season for $6! I got DS a new pair of snow boots for $9. I also got them each several shirts in the 2-3 dollar range. Now we are set!

Since I see some other shoppers with bargains..I'll share mine...one of our local departmetn stores had all their shoes on sale for 14.99. Not sure why they were on sale...but they were ....so I bought...several Ann Klein great shoes...several Tommy pairs and several Life Strides....12 pairs in all!! :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 This is one of those sharing moments when i'm glad that DH doesn't partake on the boards.

Now - does anyone have any idea how to throw away 12 shoe boxes without alarming DH?!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Mine is 12/20, my brother is 1/10. Our parents, to prevent fighting, we would get simmular toys for christmas. Although I would sometimes get mine for my birthday and by brother would get his Christmas, and visa versa. Early Christmas.

DD's is 12/31. I think it is better after.... And no christmas wrap here.

My favorite place to buy Sophia's clothes is Talbot's for Kids. They are expensive but they have great sales. They also are very good quality!

Amy, me too, but I haven't found anything for DD this fall season yet. Maybe I will go look again... I also like their clothes!

I agree re Talbots Kids and some great sales. Unfortunately they let me down this past Easter. I was so disappointed. They used to have these beautiful dresses and I thought I could get another one this past Easter and bring it on the cruise and they didn't have them this year. I was so disappointed. They had the older teen style look which I dislike.

The other places we shop are LLBean, Lands End, and Hanna Andersson. They all wear incredibly well, are a style that I find are age appropriate and I like the quality. Notice they are all online. Last year I tried Bodenusa and found some really cute tops and their big sale is also a good one. This month I got a couple of things from Garnet Hill.

Here I am lucky. I have a dear friend who owns an upscale childrens clothing store. Every season she goes to market and I tell her what I am looking for and she brings it back... I do this with Easter and Christmas dresses... This is a spoiled kim moment...

My DW's been away for a week and I've lost 6 lbs. My doctor said to tell here to stay away for 20 lbs more! I leave in the morning to meet up with her in NC.

While she's been away I have had too much time to surf the web. Here are a few things that I ran across:

The Official DDD Cruise band:

The Official DDD Cruise Superhero:

It looks like they are sitting on inflatable bananas. Can you imagine if we could find one and bring it on board?!!!!!

BTW I tried the new starbucks for my blackberry green tea frappachino... I think they are still practicing. I had big chunks of ice that kept plugging up my straw and because I was in a frenzy I wanted it really fast. It was nummy!

Bad Kim.

I know exactly what you mean . . .

Just as an FYI, I have discovered that Aleve lasts longer than Advil or Motrin . . . :rotfl2:

me, too, on the shipping charges - one thing I always look for and appreciate are FAIR shipping charges - I won't overcharge just to cover my fees! :p

I will never bid on anything that has unfair shipping charges. I make a point to check shipping before bidding. I get so mad at overinflated shipping costs on there.

ummm...put them in a trash bag while he's in the shower and take the bags out to the can???

my problem would be where to 'hide' all the new shoes - even w/out boxes? :confused3

Well my quiet afternoon didn't last long but now the girls are bathed and fed and one is already asleep.

John1 - I updated our workout sheets today. I'll just wait until the next mail in...

Feeling very lazy....not much energy tonight.

I kind of hate to say this, but I went over to the regular DIS Cruise board today just to see what is going on (haven't been over there for awhile) and all I can say is Boooooooring! :bored:

I could not even find one thread that was interesting to me. I have much more fun, and can learn a lot more hanging out with you guys.

I don't know how Lisa has the patience to moderate that board - it would drive me :crazy2:
