Kim - Enjoy Wicked! I really want to see that show. I have heard many great things about it!

No, I got this PowerBook G4 last December (everyone knew the new ones would be coming, but a date hadn't been announced, and I decided to get the last of the old ones). Haven't had a problem with iPhoto because my photo files are small (PowerShot A20, a 2.1 mp!!).

Rumors are about rebates or even lower prices soon; Canon may have a new product announced (only rumors on the web now).

Does your DS know what kind of medicine already? I think DH has always had the surgeon mindset.

Marielle,

Once you get that Rebel you might want to upgrade - the files for each photo are MUCH bigger. Although until this Macbook, I had a 12" Powerbook (the one Amy uses now) and it worked fine with iPhoto '06.

As to DS, he is still undecided. I don't think he will have a better idea until he has more exposure to the different disciplines. He is not like his father though . . . I cannot even watch that stuff on TV! Amy will watch those surgical shows, and I have to leave the room! DS during some field experience while in HS spent a couple of days with a Pediatrician, and also spent a couple of days with a Pathologist friend of ours - he even assisted in an autopsy, examining the intestines for the pathologist - I would have been on the floor passed out cold.

He has said that he has a real interest in genetics though, and possibly pediatrics. We'll see. When I think of how young he is making these decisions, it is almost scarry!

good morning all, sorry I just couldn't sit on the computer last night.

I am on hold with WDW reservations right now, apparantly AP codes are out through December. I hope to apply the code to my Dec reservation and actually make my Oct reservation...I've been waiting for these!!

going on 19 min.....listened to
Cruella DeVille
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo
Once Upon a Dream
I Can Fly

and even the reservation male recording has given up...he came on to say "that's all you'll hear from me, enjoy the music"....

my boss would love this, at least I called the 800 number!

Better camera, better software, better lenses, better camera bag... watch me spend!
And I'm finally going to learn to play golf like the rest of the family... watch me spend more!
Michael's is opening a new store 5 minutes from my house, so more craft supplies ... watch me spend again!!!
What other expensive hobbies can I find?! :thumbsup2

Ok I am bummed....no AP rates for before the cruise except at Caribbean Beach. So I am stuck with rack for now.

I did book October with an AP rate at Boardwalk but think I may change to Beach Club as we have never stayed there before......

All that time on hold and no luck!!!!!!

Do you own a horse?

My DD rides at a farm and has asked me recently if she could get one because it is cheaper than leasing one. She never realized that even if its yours you still have all the expenses to board, feed, groom, tack, shoes, and vet bills.

Someone once told me they were paying close to $500 a month for just room and board of their horse......

I told Devon we have Abby...she's as close to a horse as i'll ever own....

Good Morning Everyone! :wave2:

We sure have been a quiet group lately. Is this some kind of pre-cruise slump? Maybe when we get closer to making our reservations on-line that will cheer us up! ;)

So far, haven't had the horse expenses. Both DDs have gone to one-week horse camps and really enjoyed it, but haven't begged to make it a fulltime hobby.

Forgot that since DH and I are certified divers, we could add that to our expensive hobby list--but we don't dive much, so we're not spending!

Talk with DrHug. :teeth: Let's see, you could take up guitar. Martin makes some very nice ones that you could SPEND on, and you'll also need at least a couple of electric ones, and a bass and then of course amps to go with each of those. After that you could take up fishing. Poles, gear, boats. Hunting also. You will need several different rifles and a shotgun or two.

Hey,
I have 3 kids, 2 of whom have expensive hobbies (viola, piano, field hockey, lacrosse, golf). DS had to give up his Little Gym habit though.

How is the Little Gym? We just got one here recently and DS has been invited to a birthday party there on the 26th for one of the little girls in his preschool class.

I sure hope that this isn't too expensive of a habit. I just picked up an acustic guitar for DS's birthday. They were running low on the ones with flames on the face and I am pretty sure that he wouldn't want the blue one with flowers. :rotfl: DD wasn't too happy that I was buying his present already & her BD is the next one. If only she knew that I bought her presents MONTHS ago! :)

DS really had fun in class there (he was in the program for more than a year) and DD did gymnastics and cheernastics for 2 years and really had fun. The instructors really make a difference--never had bad ones, but had some really amazing ones that make the others look ordinary.
Kids have also been to a number of birthday parties there and have always had a good time.

Oh, :sad2: we are guitar poor! DrHug has 3 acustics, 2 electrics plus an acoustic/electric bass. I ask him how many guitars can one play at one time?? :confused3 Then, of course he wants each kid and GK to have one so they can play with him. :sad2: He even bought me one, which I have yet to learn to play....after I retire maybe I will have a minute to do that! :rolleyes1 He also buys picks by the gross and there is always one more book he absolutely needs. Yes, Lisa it can be a very expensive habit.
