It's been a while for me...but isn't an amoeba made of just one cell?

Yes they are one celled organisms but there are still structures in their cells. Words like cell wall, mitrochondia, etc.. are flooding back into my head. I don't know if they apply to amoeba but it sounds like a pretty boring discussion to me.

Good morning. Well, I have given up trying to read all the posts I missed. I'll just jump back in here. I did read some about band geeks and just to add my 2 cents - DrHug played French Horn for 12 years including HS and Drum and Bugle Corp. Not me though, no musical talent here.

My family is all coming for my Mom's birthday bash at our house this Sunday and my house is a DISASTER! She will be 81. We have been taking too many trips and I have not done anything in the house for weeks. YIKES! I will have to get crackin' tonight since my Mom comes right after work tomorrow.

I don't have my heart set on it, but informally if someone had an open seat, I would chip in, if they would welcome a fellow DISer.

Good Morning Everyone!

I am still quite tired from staying up too late. I have to start getting to bed earlier. DH is threatening to unplug me until I get some more work done around the house. It appears that chatting with you guys is far more fun than folding up laundry and starting to prepare for our garage sale. You guys are going to have to start discussing really boring things if I am ever going to get anything done. May I suggest the migratory patterns of birds or how about cell structures of the amoeba?

Thank goodness we are back home! What a trip. Can you believe that WM & Big Lots do NOT carry pant hangers?!?!?!? I want the ones that have 4-5 rods on them. I can't believe that I have to look online for them. Target is the only place left to look & since I just knew that WM had to have them I got milk & cheese there at the first stop. Plus the kids were not doing great so we came home. OY! If I hear another "I WANT" I am going to lose it right in the middle of the store...I mean it!

Isn't it great when you actually get to go grocery shopping without the kids? I don't get to do it very often but sometimes I just want to hug the shopping cart - or anything around me - I know, simple pleasures!

I swear that I am reserving a sitter for next Tuesday morning!!! Going after DH gets home is just too late for me & I never get to go on the weekend because he is working on the cars or the yard or at the library or office working on his final project or a work project.

I've printed out that ultimate packing list and am trying to cross off things I know we won't use....duct tape for one....and I plan on picking up little things at WM between now and Dec...helps on the pocketbook and it's fun to start collecting now!

Do you guys bring full size shampoos? The travel ones are never enough but I hate lugging full size ones everywhere and then have to lug it home again.....any suggestions? Do they sell mid size anywhere?

I also bring ones that are half empty and leave whatever is left. More room for goodies!!!

Well I just got off the phone with my sister in Chicago , and the "Margaritas around the Island Jeep Tour" Is a GO

So we have 2 jeeps and possibly 3 so far , If any of you are interested please let me know as I will be in Cozumel Aug 12th - the 19th and I will be making some arrangments to maybe have the Jeeps waiting for us when we get off the ship in Dec ...Again Please let me know so I can let them know about how many we may need...Thanks

I really thought that it was Tuesday...Shaggy Dog released today. Time to go back to bed. I swear these days stuck in the house with the kids swinging from the fan blades is making it all blend together. Maybe the heat has melted my brain? 106 out there right now...110 where DH is...and it is only going up.

I don't know how many have Ariel costumes for their DDs or when they got them, but I just came across this recall. It is for Ariel costumes sold between 200-2001. Basically it can catch fire easily.

We are taking ours , Always do when they are with us ---Keep in mind , this is a very Family orientated Island and people . With that said it also is a spot that eurpeons vacation and of course other countries where sunbathing topless is not considered a crime ...But people are descreet about it ..dang I cant spell this morning ...lol

We have it a little better here along the shore. High 95 (HI 102). Looking forward it is saying 85 Friday and 81 on Saturday!!
