DD is asleep and DS is in the bath so I can spend some time here as long as DH does not try to "steal" the computer from me! :teeth:

I am so glad that today is almost over. The first 2/3 of my workday was just brutal. Hopefully the rest of the week will not be nearly as bad.

I am really craving something warm and sweet to eat like freshly baked cookies or brownie or something like that. Unfortunately (or fortunately as the case may be) I don't have the stuff in the house to make them. Does anyone want to cyber-send some over to me?

How about some nice, warm  Bread!

Personally being your first time I would think it would be hard to do both and not feel cheated somewhat. I think doing the party is a great idea...we are still tossing that around...it's kind of tradition now but I asked Samantha if she would rather go to DTD and BBB to get her hair done the night before the cruise or the party and she said BBB!! But then no one else had a vote yet! ;)

I am so wishing it were the 'ber months already!

DD is doing BBB on friday at 4:40... She can't wait!

Dody, if you do decide to parkhop, there will be a park to park bus. Each park has buses that will go to each of the other main parks. Exceptions, MK to/from Epcot (monorail) and MGM to/from EPCOT (boat).

Pj

Hearing about the buses, etc... now I'm rethinking that we should just get 2 one day passes and do AK on thursday, despite being tired and then do MK on friday. I'm used to Disneyland, where you just walk a little and you're in California Adventure. I guess I thought park hopping would be just as easy at WDW.

The downside of thursday is that we'll arrive in Florida at about 6:30am but to us it will really be 3:30am since we're on pacific time. :faint: I suppose we can rest a little and then hit AK at about noon. That will give us about 5 hours to enjoy the park and hopefully we won't be too cranky.

That's what I was trying to say. :) I would hate for you to get a bad impression from your first trip to WDW...and possibly put a bad spin on the cruise.

Lisa,

Do they really run out of tickets for MVMCP?

Yup,

Don't know how close they are to selling out, but it is limited admission. The major attractions are open, and you get a picture taken for free. Free Hot chocolate and cookies too, and snow on MSUSA. We have enjoyed it every time we have done it.

I don't mean to be sacreligious here, but are there any other disney type sites that are anywhere near as informational and active as the "DIS". And yes, I realize it is the best...

::yes::

They limit the number of tickets they will sell and many of the dates sell out every year. If you think you want to go I would not wait especially if you are wanting to go on Friday night. More locals will attend on the weekend so if I remember right they are usually the first to sell out.

Well my main "home" is the DIS but there are other Disney sites that have lots of great info. One of my favorites is www.allearsnet.com. Lots of great info. For cruise info I like Barb's site (I don't think we are allowed to post the URL). The passporter site is also pretty good.

You might want to consider resting early on Thursday, and doing MVMCP on Thursday night - 7-midnight. Since you will be still used to your time zone may not be too bad for you. Then do AK on Friday. AK does close earlier than the other parks, but I don't think I would try to do two in one day - you might feel shortchanged at both on your first day in WDW.

John

Yeah, that's the impression I'm starting to get and I really don't want to leave feeling like I didn't really get to experience WDW. So we'll rest up a bit on thursday and then hit a park and do 2 days. That way we won't feel as rushed on friday to pack it all in.

Goodluck trying to sleep on that flight ...Song is the WORST when it comes to comfort ...we did the same flight your doing in June thought i would be able to sleep and hit the parks when we arrived , I even took 2 sleeping pills to no avail ...They are nice looking planes with nice inside colors,tv screens in every seat , but the worst seats in the industry ...I thought since delta took them back over the planes would go out of service but on that LAS to MCO flight they kept that plane ..yuck yuck yuck ....For dec we are trying to find a different flight , even if we have to stop in Atlanta to avoid those seats ..

Aww, that's a bummer. I was really hoping we'd be able to squeeze some sleep into our flight. I'm also a little concerned about getting our room when we arrive. They told me not to book the room for the night before because they'll consider us a no-show and cancel our ressie, but we run the risk of our room not being available right away when we arrive at WDW resort thursday morning, so I don't know when we'll be able to sleep. I'm almost regretting booking the red eye now.

MK is open until 7 pm Friday. The party is after that. You will get to see the parade & wishes though. That will give you the chance to rest up for the cruise the next day. :)

We'll all send you some pixiedust: , but I don't think we have ever gotten our room when we show up early. They will give you a number you can call to check on status. Wonder why you could not add the extra day and guarantee?

You could go and check out DTD while waiting . . .

John is correct , your room will not be ready that early in the morning, you can check in but they wont let you into the room till after 3 or 4 , and you can call to get your room number while your in the parks ...then you dont have to go back to the front desk ....

I would call back & tell them that you will pay for the room holding it with a CC. I would bet money that they have people coming to WDW at all hours of the day & night. You wont be the first.

V- I will be checking out Bad girls! Hey, are you going to join the family in COZ? I told John, if Vanessa does I will. He told me he hopes they have some big coconuts for me!!!

I was just checking out the website (Great Job Lisa :worship: ) and noticed some things, and had another thought . . .

First off - Brenda, saw from your info, you and Amy share birthdays party:

I was also thinking about the sailaway . . .

I know everyone may not be a "dancefloor" person (Amy likes to watch). But I know Sophia and I will be there, even though my dancing resembles a broken electric typewriter. Anyway, if we can all wear our LIME shirts to the sailaway too, and I would suggest :santa: (we will bring and wear ours like last year). I think we should kind of take over the dancefloor over the pool and all do the  in unison!

What do you thinK? Anyone for joining me?

BTW - this is going really slooooooooow.

John
