Okay - December Geek Road trip - we need to go check out those model rooms in person. I wanted to check them out this past trip but no time.

We're going in September also and I plan to check it out then. Annette can decide for herself thenif she wants to spend that many points for it.

okay 1:20A here. Don't forget to turn the lights out Brack!

Miss you guys!!

I went to bed about the same time. Lights were out and the dog went to bed with me! :thumbsup2

Thanks Lisa!

Sophia goes through paper like gangbusters!

No use of printer ink - she uses crayons and markers.

you should buy a big roll of newsprint paper - usually much cheaper - but of course Lisa finds all the good deals!!!

First

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY ANGIE!!!party: 'Thought about you last Saturday as we were running around Animal Kingdom. Also because Carl was not there because of kidney stone pain - so he wasn't part of the fun so we sent him home when he felt better on th early flight. ;)

December Geek Meet = COOL BEANS! Yes between Lisa (arriving earlier) and John later - yes he did pick on me to change my trip. I was leaving on the 4th coming in the Thur before and I changed it a couple of days so I could see Lisa and then put in for more days to see John. Now I'm leaving on the 8th or 9th - can't recall to be honest but coming in on Sunday. You know what I changed all of that - did I update my work vacation schedule - :rolleyes1

Thank you, Carla! I did have a wonderful birthday. We took the MH out for our first trip the night before my birthday, so I woke up in it on my B'day with Dennis and my mom with me! Nice! Then DD, DSIL and some friends met us for Thai dinner that night. DSIL's b'day is just days after mine so we celebrate together. :grouphug:

Annette wants to stay at the AKL with points in December. I can't book it until June sometime and rumor has it that this will be hard to get. We may have to stay elsewhere (OKW or SSR) ...... but we will be there! :woohoo:

Brack, we reserve where we can at 11 months so we are sure we have a spot, then try at 7 months to reserve where we want to stay. Especially that first week of Dec as lots of DVC folks seem to go that week for Mousefest and it is also when they have the annual meetings for the resorts.

Good Morning Geeks! :) Well maybe Good Afternoon by now but you know what I mean. ;) I am so jealous that all of you are getting together again this December. We are just going to miss some of you by a few days. :sad2:

Things here have been busy. I guess I have a bit of spring fever (although it was SNOWING when I woke up .... What the heck is that about!!!! :sad2:) because when I woke up I started cleaning and doing laundry and then I started baking. I have some banana bread and brownies in the oven right now. The brownies are the special ones I make for Nathan that he loves and the banana bread is a test recipe. I tried to modify it for Nathan so we will see how it turns out. It smells like chocolate bananas here. :rotfl:

Nathan has a birthday party to go to tomorrow evening at The Little Gym and other than that our weekend is pretty free. I am going to make a new salmon dish tonight for dinner called Maple Salmon. You marinate the fish in maple syrup and some other stuff before baking...it sounds interesting.

I hope everyone is doing well. :)

Oh I almost forgot to tell you about DH. DH has his own food allergies (nuts, peas, soy and beans) and has had them since he was a kid. Since DS was getting all this testing done DH decided it might be time to get some more testing done since the last time he was about Nathan's age. He went in Thursday and the results were interesting.

They tested him for around 40 environmental allergens (trees, grasses, animals, molds, etc..) and he tested positive for 39 of them! :scared1: The only thing he didn't test positive for was some mold mix although I figure it must have been a bad batch.

They then tested him for 24 food allergens and he was allergic to all 24 of them!!! :faint: Can you believe that? He was allergic to EVERYTHING!!! Every fruit, grain, meat, nut, vegetable, milk, dairy, soy, etc. they had! :scared: :scared1:

When DH called me up to tell me I just had to :rotfl: and call him Bubble Boy because it was better than crying. I can't believe he is allergic to all of that. The allergist is going to have him start weekly allergy shots for the environmental allergies. He actually will have to have 2 shots a week because they can't get that much "stuff" in 1 shot alone. :sad2: As for the food allergies well actually there is not a lot they can do. He can't stop eating so he basically needs to continue to do what he has done in the past. Eliminate those things that bother him the most and try not to each too much of any one thing. He just needs a really varied diet and try to cut back on the things he was most allergic to. Some of his top offenders were soy, chocolate, black pepper, garlic and rice. :faint:

I told DH that I was sorry but I couldn't deal with cooking all separate meals for everyone. I am having a hard enough time cooking for DS's allergies. He told me that is fine. He is a big boy and he can eat or not eat what he feels is right for him.

Annette and I are in for this! We'll get to WDW on the 6th (Thursday). :grouphug:

Will you be there in time for dinner? We are going to Epcot on Friday. :) Can't wait to see it...the Santas & Illuminations. :goodvibes

Becka - wow, that is amazing...I am amazed...has he been miserable after eating most of those things normally?

AUTUMN!!!!!

I hope that you have a wonderful birthday!

So true with the medicines. I have foregotten mine some mornings and I too "feel" it at work. People can also see it, face gets all red....

Dennis called this morning and said he had forgotten to take his meds before he went to work and he was "feeling it". When you can feel that your blood pressure is up, then it is really up. :scared1: So I drove them out to him, about a 45 min drive each way but it is out thru the countryside on two lane roads and the weather was picture perfect! It was a very pleasant drive. While I was at the store (he's working at WM today) I did a little more MH shopping. Among other things, I bought us each a really nice journal. His is black and mine is burgandy. Leather looking covers, although I am certain they are not real leather. Very nice though. I thought it would be fun for us to journal on our trips in the MH. There are so many things each day that just happen and then you don't think about them or remember. I already did an entry in mine from our trip last weekend with my mom. I can't wait for Dennis to get home so I can show them to him. I know he is gonna love them too, because he us just a much a geek as I am. ;)

Here are some pictures from this morning's leprechaun visit . . .

Leprechauns left shamrocks all over the porch and front walk . . . unfortunately it snowed!

Sophia had to find them all though . . .

She had a bagful!

Sophia left this morning to go to an indoor water park with her aunt and Amy's cousin. She is gone until tomorrow.

Ohio State wins one in overtime . . . and it took a missed foul shot by Xavier, and a three point shot with two seconds by Ohio State to get there!

Sweet 16!

We are going to our High School Basketball playoff game tonight - this is for a trip to the final four. We are doing a "White Out" everyone will be wearing white, and it should be fun.

Hope we have the Luck of the Irish!

Happy Birthday Autumn!!!!!

Have A Wonderful day!!

:cheer2: :cheer2: party: :bday: :cheer2: :cheer2:
