PJ ! Well, she may be right. :rotfl2: I knew I liked you for some reason. Nuts is good. :rotfl2: I am glad you are feeling better. I have been under the weather almost since we got home from the cruise. Cold, then a bad Nausea/vomiting bile (Eeeeeeeeewwwwww!) thing, then the flu. Then a horrible allergy attack (LAST MONTH) tHEN MY bLOOD pRESSURE WENT WAY UP AND WOULDN'T COME DOWN. yikes! 187 OVER 113 FOR MOST OF LAST MONTH. 2 NEW MEDS, AND IT'S STILL HIGH. WHOOPS!I was shouting. Sorry. Anyway. It's a little better now. Maybe if I would have DISsed more it would be okay? What do you think?

And, I am nuts too. I didn't squeal when I saw your name, but almost :goodvibes

I read about the blood pressure, young man! :sad2:

How's that horn working out?

Can't wait to hear it live!

Hi John!

I can't wait to honk it in your driveway!:rotfl2: Then I'll play the horn.:lmao:
I took a video, with sound, but I need to figure out how to post it. I bought a new Canon video cam at Wal Mart....(JUST KIDDING), it was at Costco. I'll get it posted soon I hope. IT's almost as good as being there. (Yeah Right). The horn works good, but could be a little louder.

Have you got yours set up yet Brack?

Hey Dennis!

Great to see you here!

Missed seeing and hearing from you . . .

You too John. Angie has been filling me in. Makes me miss you all more. I think I am working too hard now. I had today off. I was going to start sorting the junk around here. We need to get rid of a lot of stuff before we try to sell the house. (sniff sniff). But I decided to DIS instead. I needed a laugh, and you are always good with the humor. I am lovin' it.
I missed all of you!

You can post the video to YouTube or Photobucket then link it to a post.

I must admit I haven't bought mine yet but I really do plan on it. I was sort of waiting to make sure that we were not moved again this year. We are staying here in Baltimore for at least one more year.

Yep. it is! It is good to be back on the DIS. I need to get back on here more. I still haven't reached 1000 posts, have I?

Not yet but you are only about 10 posts away. In the old days 10 posts was very easy. Just started posting! :surfweb:

Dennis this is the day we were in the coffee shop. I have a good picture of Angie but the picture I took of you is blurred because the camera focused on the branch of the Christmas tree beside you. :confused3

Lisa,

I am going to send you some instructions on how to sit down and relax for a few minutes. LOL:rotfl2: :rotfl2: Bless your heart!

I wish that I had gotten those before this week. ;) I have been at the school 8-3 working at the bookfair. Only one ohter parent has been there & that was for a few hours. She sat on her butt & watched the kids for the most part while I receipted books, straightened up after the each class came thru to make their wish lists, helped the little ones write things down. UGH!

Well guys, on a bit of a whim I sent out a resume last night online to a local hospital that is looking for a staff attorney. While my experience is not exactly what they wanted, I think I'm still a pretty quick study.

After 20 years in retail, I have been thinking it may be time for a change. While I always thought I would spend my entire career at one company, competition and the last year has made this job really difficult, and not so much fun anymore.

You guys are aware of that saga.

With Dad not as well as he used to be, and mom gone, there is honestly not much that would really even keep me here if anything happened to dad and a good opportunity opened up elsewhere, even if it meant relocating. While I know a lot of people in the community, some of my best friends are right here with you guys, who have no other expectations and where I can be more myself.

Like I always say Lisa, 10% of the people do 90% of the work. Whether it is Ohio or NC.

John, I wish you all the best in your job search. I have to believe that what is meant to be...will be. :) It is comforting to know that no matter where we may move, there will always be this home to come back to and catch up with good friends.

Dennis, I am so glad to hear that you are on the mend. :)

Well, this part of the 10% isn't doing another thing at the school after this week. :thumbsup2 I am in charge of teacher appreciation week also...which is this week too. I have been approached asking what I am doing at the BBQ next Tuesday....I'm not going to be there. Will I proctor for the EOG tests the following week for 3 days....NO!!!! :thumbsup2

 Good luck John. I hope for you the desires of your heart. It is always hard when work gets to be tedious. There are many days that I wish I could be like someone in a Jimmy Buffett song.

:grouphug: Ditto :grouphug: When I think of friends, this group comes to mind first.

Brack, I love that photo. I cannot wait to meet you and Annette there again. :grouphug: This trip we will be kidless, although there will be little ones with us, so we will have more time for the adult areas...read Cove Cafe and Rainforest!

Um, Lisa. I think you said this same thing last year. :sad2: I think you are just too giving of a person and cannot say no for more than a week. Next time they ask you to do something and you even give it a thought tell them you will have to get back to them and then come here and ask your friends about it first! ;)

John, I know your job has been personally painful for you this past year with the layoffs of good people that you care about. A change might be just what you need. We will put you in our prayers for guidance and strength. I don't know about hospitals though. You know a VA in CA removed the wrong, um, um..."boy" a month or so ago. :scared1: The patient had cancer in one, um...boy. So they then had to remove the other because of the cancer. I would NOT want to defend that! I was just so, so glad it was not at our hospital. :sad2: A public affairs nightmare right now in the current political climate.
