Happy Easter To All of My Geek Friends!!!
The Easter bunny has made his annual visit. Since it is going to be in the teens tonight and tomorrow morning he left the eggs for the hunt inside the house where it is much warmer. I do have to say that Easter is just not the same without any candy. Neither of the kids is getting candy just little things that fit in the eggs like stickers and other junky party favor type stuff. They will have fun with it I am sure but I miss the chocolate. We did get them a kite and a book each so at least they have something that will last longer than an hour.

Listen for those horns in your driveway.
It has been quiet here. The kids were both good in Church and are now enjoying their baskets. Here are our annual Easter pics taken before we left for Church. I am glad that we didn't wait until after because DS got overheated and I had to take him out to the lobby area to get some fresh air. I guess they didn't know what to do about the heat and jacked it up since they had the a/c for the past few weeks.

I didn't get to bed until 1:30...and it wasn't because I was DISing. I was at the ER with William from 6:50 until 1:10 am. We went to a birthday party yesterday afternoon & the kids were outside playing on the trampoline. He is use to them & knows the rules. Well, he was getting down because I told them we were going home and his foot slipped on the stepstool making him fall headfirst to the ground. He of course put his hands out to protect himself and his right hand took the impact. He came in crying and the palm of his hand was bleeding from what looked like a puncture. The kids showed the dad where he had fallen and he found a pine tree twig that probably caused it...since he also had a couple of splinters in the palm of his hand as well. I rushed home to drop off Kaitlyn and have the nurse next door look at it to see if a trip to urgent care was justified or overreacting on my part. She said that it looked like it was starting to swell from something being inside the skin so off we went...only to find it closed early for Easter. A quick call to the ped on call had us going to the ER to get it checked out...where we waited a very long time. It was an hour inbetween everything...having his name called for triage & registration, 80 minutes before being called back to sit on a bed in the hallway to wait another 70 minutes to have the doctor check him out, then an xray, then meds, then move to a room. It was after midnight before the doctor came in to treat it. It took longer for the meds to numb his hand...the poor kid had the needle poked in his hand many times to get that done.

We have finally confessed that the easter bunny is actually a PR front for the Easter Vulture. You see, The Easter Vulture is very generous, loving, giving and enjoys children but vultures get bad press. So, he uses a bunny as his front to be more engaging to children. DD took it pretty well. Go figure.
Our cruise group for 12/08/07 is a bit slow too, but that's ok we are sailing with Brack and Annette and some of my family.
