Lisa, this is such good news! I hope they live up to their promises and the kids do great! :grouphug:

My DCousin went into labor this morning at 6:30. Her water broke at 7:00 and guess what....she is still in labor at 10:00 PM!!!!! She was going to go all natural, but she opted for an epidural around lunch time. she is so exausted and she still has to push out that little man! She is the one that is a vet that had that strange cat bite about a year ago.

Great news Brandi - I had forgotten about her. Glad she is better (I think?)

Did I ever mention here that Amy's first labor with Alex was 23 hours from when her water broke? Boy, that was an ordeal!

Good grief! Did I every mention that our second was 55 MINUTES from water breaking (had no pains or warning yet) until birth? Gave birth to the kids as quickly as Dennis and I got married. :lmao: :rotfl: Had a little over an hour labor with first and a couple of hours with son - number 3.

Brandi, it is late now. I hope she is all done and everyone is well. New babies are so sweet! :cloud9:

Well she went into labor at 6:30 AM on the 6th and Nathan was born at 12:39 AM on the 7th.

He was only 6lbs 2 ozs. That baby is over 2 pounds smaller than any other baby ever born in our family!!!! I guess that was her prize after her long labor! He has lots of hair.

We are going to see him on Sunday.

I hope everyone is having a great weekend. We have a baby sitter for tonight and we are going shopping then out for dinner. I can't wait!!!!

We are doing dinner and a movie with Steve's brother and his wife tonight. There little girl is 14 and she is watching Savannah. Savannah could not be happier! A night with Katie!! It's a win win. Have fun!

Not alot of weekend plans here. Just plan to start packing up all the "extra" stuff we have around the house so we can list it for sale. The neighbors are not purchasing any more property "at this time", so, back to plan A. List it, stage it and have people tramp thru. :scared:

Oh, there is a fund raiser steak dinner at the VFW hall this evening that we may go to. Dinner with the old veterans. Sounds fun! :goodvibes

Congrats to your cousin. BTW I love the name but I bet you knew I would. ;)

No big plans this weekend. I need to get off the computer and get ready to go to Home Depot. Our lawn mower is dying and we really need a new one plus I want to look at some stuff to plant in the front of our house. Fun, fun..... :)

I can't believe I am asking this but what are your thoughts on the Mac mini? :scared1:

Becka, the higher end, one not so bad if you already have a monitor that will work with it, if you don't have a monitor that will work with it, then go for the 20" iMac, lots of stuff for the money and you get the monitor, mouse, and very cool keyboard.

I am also looking at the 20" iMac and I have to admit it looks nice. One thing I love on my current PC is my media card reader. Does the iMac have one? Also is 1 GB enough for the iMac or will it be to slow?

Becka, 1gb will be good until you want to be doing at something like creative suite and internet, and word, and, and, and..... For doing e-mail, word, internet, music and smaller programs all at once, you will be good.
Sadly no, there isn't a media card reader it is one thing that I also would love on my mac, but it is fine with the camera cable for now. Or I can grab a card reader for under $15.

Lisa, how is everything in your neck of the woods? Is everyone accounted for and safe?

Hey everyone!
We had our neighborhood block party yesterday... so much fun! Moonbounce, burgers, dogs, salads, chips, soft pretzels, cookies, brownies, a frozen daiquiri/margarita machine, kegs of beer and birch beer, face painting, hand-designed T-shirts... and of course, good friends and good neighbors!

Becka,

I hope you are having a better day today!!!

Walt is just adorable, and I love Hannah's school picture!!

They changed the ice rink schedule around and now we are going in the morning 1 day a week. This morning was not good. 5:30 is not my friend. Savannah's coach said she was a little wobbily on the ice, but paid attention and did everthing right. Then she slept on the way to school. This is insane. I hope it gets easier!

I found out friday I am going to Berlin next friday. Anyone got any advice?

Kim

Wow! Berlin. How cool is that? The only advice I would have is to enjoy yourself and be safe. :grouphug: Send pictures too.
