All this Mac talk is starting to get to me. You all are making me think I might need one next! That is scarier than John's pictures! :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

Been busy this week and it looks like everyone else has been as well based on the # of posts. Of course with my twin at WDW it has to be a bit quieter. ;)

We are a little over 3 months out from our trip and I can't wait. :) I am also starting to consider a little 3/4 night trip next late July for just DH and I. I don't know if I could ever leave the kids for it though. I was just thinking it would be nice to stay in the Boardwalk area and maybe just spend 1 day in the parks and spend the other days just relaxing by the pool or shopping. We could finally go to PI in the evening and we could eat at some of the really nice restaurants that I would never take the kids too.

Wow, John, that photo is scary!

Come on over to the good side, Becka! You can do it! Of course, the problem is that you when you have a Mac, you want all of the new ones when they come out... even though your old one is still doing fine.

Like Marielle said, time to come over to the good side - "use the force Becka"!

The only problem with Macs is like Marielle also said, you ALWAYS want the new one. I want a 24" iMac so bad I can just feel it!

A Mac addiction is a lot like a Disney addiction. Once bitten, you can never get enough!

Then I really should stay away. My Disney addiction is already draining my bank account. I can't handle another one! ;)

For all of you on the EB Repo and thread . . .

:grouphug:

What a train wreck!

It's been nice taking a break from the boards but now I am going to try to catch up with you guys. :) We had friends from VA here last week...first time they have ever come down here. They had a great time with perfect weather and now they are talking about the next trip. :thumbsup2

It was perfect timing for the kids because their 14 yo DD hangs out with Kaitlyn...and she is Williams' "older woman"...and he hung out with their 9 and 12 yo boys. The kids are more like cousins and they call the adults aunt and uncle. It was good for him bc he started his meds on Thursday. So far so good...he told me that he felt calmer Tuesday. :cool1: e go again to check him out on Monday morning and then more test on Tuesday afternoon here in town. He took the drawing tests last week.

Bad news about the schools. They were denied our first and only choice so I called and requested the 2nd school that is across the river. The drive will be worth it if thye can get in there...and no uniforms! If I don't hear anything by MOnday I am going to call and make an appt with the superintendent. Things have changed since we first applied and I have promised William that we will not make him go back to that school. Mike still says no to homeschooling but we can't completely ignore that as an option if they are determined to shut us down in our quest to get the kids into an acceptable school. Of course this week I asked Mike if he was willing to move to the school district that we want. The house is paid for and we would be able to cover the balance of a home in a good neighborhood for that school where we already know a couple of the people. I guess that has to be an option we are willing to look into as well. At least our neighborhood is a hot spot. Noone has used a realtor in the past year here and the houses sell within a week.

John, after all the comments on the WB, I did too. Do the words "duck and run" mean anything to you?

Lisa, you and Kristina and Mike and Todd and anyone else on the thread, take care of yourselves.

Kim

Don't worry about me. :goodvibes I know when to jump ship...so to speak. We aren't doing the DIS group thing this time. It's time for a quiet and relaxed cruise experience with no phone calls. We will have a few friends for the kids to hang out with but that will be it this time.

Ok, so Amy's Mom, her aunt, and her cousin (all 60 or older) are playing Sorry, and arguing about the rules, and if you have to slide, etc. . . I think it is a game for ages 6 and up, and they can't agree on the rules!

I wish I had a video camera, I could post this on Youtube and have the next viral video!

I just read this to Mike and Kaitlyn turned around and said HEY I KNOW HOW TO PLAY THAT GAME! :rotfl:

Think you might want to try a villa,Becka? I am looking for a home for about 50-60 of my 2008 points... i could book other resorts in July in December or SSR right now

Of course this week I asked Mike if he was willing to move to the school district that we want.

That's great that you are in a position to move... Around here I'd be afraid because our school district redistricts every couple years...It's usually the good neighborhoods they pull into the lower scoring schools to "balance" the
test scores. At dd's school the reverse happened and they had a bunch of gang kids brought in from a really bad neighborhood.

At least our neighborhood is a hot spot. Noone has used a realtor in the past year here and the houses sell within a week.

mmmm Lisa...when the people come to visit... Do not mention how bad the schools are...Wouldn't want that getting out. :rolleyes1

P.S. Did you still want to try to have a pirate: Palo dinner with the remaining Geeks?

Thanks Kristina! Just trying to give me more reasons to go, huh? ;) Right now we are strictly in a hypothetical discussion. I would first have to convince DH but I don't think it would take too much ;) and then I have to convince my parents to take the kids for a few days. That may take a bit more arm twisting. :lmao: I know we really should not spend the money (especially since we are cruising next December) but it would be nice to have a very relaxing WDW vacation with DH for a change. :)

Not as much fun without any competition... :sad2:

hey if Becka doesn't want them we'll always take them!!

Lisa - I hope the school thing works out.

Becka - are you ready for K??

Becka - are you ready for K??

I think so. Nathan starts school in 10 days and he is very excited. We go to school on Tuesday night to meet his teacher and for an orientation thing. It is hard to believe that it is finally here. DS has this one last week in daycare - Friday is his last day. He has been in that same daycare since he was 12 weeks old - almost exactly 5 years to the week. It is strange.

School doesn't start until after Labor Day here, so we still have some summer left... good thing, because the girls have not finished all of the summer reading/writing assignments from school.

Hey Marielle - I see you over on SP.

I was reading tha cruise thread and I saw your name and I thought that seemed familiar. Then I saw what cruise you were on and I was :scratchin. Then I looked at your picture and page and thought "Hey it's Marielle". :rotfl:
