:woohoo: :yay: Have a blast at the Outer Banks! :yay: :woohoo:

Hi guys, trying to get to bed before we leave for the beach tomorrow. Hopefully I will get net access and can talk down there . . .

Alex is fine in London - He walked by where the car was found at about 9:00 last night. He is probably on their surveillance camera.

He went to Wimbledon today, went to see Spamalot with a couple of Canadians he met, who then corrupted him into having a few "pints" at a local pub (what's up with that PJ?).

Anyway, need to get to bed, if I don't get to talk, I will miss you guys!

Thanks for the update; I was thinking about Alex today (as well as some friends of ours who live just outside London).

Beer is a Canadian past time, it seems to be how we get to know others, lol. I can't stand the stuff, but have been know to have a pint with friends when the mood is right.

I have been thinking of Alex all day, I woke at 4:40 am and this was the first thing I heard on CNN this morning. Got my worry right up there.

Many Canadian University students head over to the UK for the summer to tour and work. And many British students head over to Canada to do the same. Two of my staff did that this year, one arrived home this week and the other is still hanging in London, he is working at a trendy fashion shop. We finish university exams in mid April, so students have a very long summer to go on adventures or work to cover the next years fees.

Ok, I have never been in this situation before, I have a great airfare, I have geeks who will be in WDW at the same time, I can get a good price on tickets, but I have no room, lol.

I have wait-listed for AKV Value, AKV Standard, OKW and SSR in a Studio. Fingers crossed everyone.

What dates are you looking at? :confused3

Brack, the magic dates are check-in December 6, check out December 9th. I wanted to see my Geeks! At the worst I will book a room at a value, will just save a little extra each month and hope for a code, paying for a room actually makes my head hurt. Never realized just how much DVC was saving me, lol.

Good Morning Geeks!

I hope everyone has some fun weekend plans. Nothing big here...just hanging around the house mostly. I think my FIL is coming over for a few hours today but I don't know when. He is at a conference here in town that ends today so he will stop by before he goes home.

I'm being lazy right now....
Lawn mowing is up next... and laundry ... maybe take the kids to the pool later.

PJ, I'm sure one of the Geeks can make room for you if worse comes to worse. I think number of people in a room could be bent in such dire circumstances. Shhhh. Don't tell the folks over on DVC board. ;)

Nothing fun for us here either. We are both off thru Wed, Dennis works Thurs and Fri. We talked briefly about taking the MH out for a few days, I even jumped on the internet looking at State Parks. BUT DrHug made me come back to reality and we decided to stay home and FOCUS on getting this place ready to sell. KEEP OUR EYES ON THE PRIZE!! WORK, WORK, WORK.

I do have to admit that we took yesterday to just rest. We watched Turner Classic Movies channel all day and just vegged. We saw several, one of them Witness for The Prosecution. Anyone seen that? 1954 I think, very good suspense movie if you get a chance. We also saw one from 1967 or 8 about General Custer. Interesting but not at all factual, more a political statement from that era. :rolleyes1 Dennis grew up in Montana and did a report in 8th grade on the last stand and so, of course, noted all the liberties taken in the movie. :lmao: Then there was the Randolph Scott movie about taking cattle from Montana to British Columbia during the gold rush. That was actually a fun movie. Cowboys were way different in 1950 than now. ;) And finally we saw one called The Sniper. Early 1950's about a serial sniper. It too was good. Did not of course show all the blood and gore of today's movies, but rather a lot of suspense.

Drove to the camp in WV this morning and got home about 4PM. We drive to Cambridge, MD in the morning. My trip to Salisbury, MD on Monday is postponed until Friday so we'll have a couple of days of quiet at home this week. :goodvibes

This is just the beginning of our road trips though. Between now and October 1 we will only be home for about a total of 4 weeks.
