My son is having a bad night and we are both up since 2:30. I thought I would check in on the board and he just got on my lap and wants to push faces so this is from him...

You guys are going to love this one! Karma bites! ;) I just went to quiz DS on his spelling words & the first one I saw was "horray." What is that? It's not in the dictionary...book or online. When I do it on email it suggests "hooray." I am waiting to confirm with another mom that this is how her DS wrote it down before getting very upset. Here she marked DS down for misspelling a word when copying it & she gave them a misspelled word to study! I am going to print out the page that shows that horray is NOT a word! I am ready to kick some substitute butt!!!!

So did anyone watch Lost last night?

I know some of you watched AI...what did ya think?

I had to watch the first hour of lost...tivo the second...go up and watch Lost with DH...go back down and finish watching AI. I'm not addicted to the shows, but I hate missing the season finale.

I thought Katherine should have won, but Talor was also very good.

That Lost show - just getting me frustrated...too many opened cans....nothing being explained!!

Karen I'm with you on Lost. It would take a spaceship to get me to watch the next season. I'm going back to Scifi where I belong.

Actually I could go on for days on why Lost isn't working anymore. But it's so :offtopic:

Speaking of scifi - have you ever seen a movie "The Forgotten"? It was on this weekend on HBO or one of those channels. I thought it was gonna be hokey - kinda good...sci fi ... type of movie....interesting ending...

We usually get about 5 weeks turnaround for a move and we move fairly quickly. We leave Oklahoma on Sunday the 25th of June and we are in the office in Baltimore by Wednesday the 28th.

The POD is great and it will hold our belongings because we don't have to move furniture.

It probably could count as only one piece of luggage but you would have to tie it to the side of the ship because it is as big as the stateroom itself.
I was going to ask how you found a house so quickly but I guess if furniture is provided then the house is too. Do you get to keep your matteress? That would be important to us.

Well, you can forget about seeing DD's room finished any time soon. After chasing her down in the neighborhood for running out of the house on her own, I put her in time out in her room so that I could clean up the kitchen & make dinner. She came downstairs about 10 minutes later telling me "sorry." I saw small specks of light blue paint on her cheeks. What did I find upstairs? Well, she managed to open a paint can & proceeded to paint over some of the ivy, a shelf, and alot of the wall with light blue paint. :( :( :( :( There was a mess in the bathroom and she dripped paint on the carpet going back & forth from the bathroom to the wall. I lost it & sent DS & DD across the street to a neighbor's house for her own protection until DH got home. It is out of the carpet, off the shelf and the bathroom floor...but not off the wall. :( :( :( It's a good thing that I had to take the meds to lower my blood pressure tonight. I must remain calm.

She has passed out on the couch exhausted from crying.

Lisa, I am so sorry your little decorator struck again! You are lucky to have a handy neighbor to take them for you and AI for the evening. I hope you have a better day today.

PS Goof Off works great on the carpet.

I remember watching The Forgotten a long time ago and liking it but I don't remember what it was about. Maybe I should try it again.

Other good old ones are "The Uninvited" A great BW ghost story and, "The Forbidden Planet". TFB is where I thought "Lost" was going for a long time.

Good Morning Everyone! I hope you are all having a great day. My husband would always watch lost (it is my church choir night so I never got involved) but he gave up at the end of last season because they never would explain anything.

I am going to get new tires on my car today :cool1: How exciting :rotfl: !!!

I looked up "The Forgotten" on IMDB.com because I just couldn't remember what it was about. Well, I've never watched it. Go figure. :confused3 Mabye I just forgot watching it. It does look right up my alley though. Thanks.

Just thought I'd pop in and say hi. Last night after baseball the boys wanted to go to church, they only had 20 min left, but I took them. On the way by our house I saw that a neighbor had a new trailer. :woohoo: So on the way back I stopped and asked him if he wanted to sell his old one. We looked at it, he told us what was wrong. Not much, all plumbing works, hot water tank, shower, not the fridge thoe. Needs new contact paper, needs a board replaced by the front window, and the holding tank is cracked at the top. Doesn't matter as we have water and elec there. He said he'd talk to his wife and see what they wanted for it. He called later and only wanted $350.00 :confused3  :woohoo: :bounce: Snag. He was going to gut it and modify it to have the back open to drive in the 4 wheelers, to much work for him. I will replace the the curtains (Spencer said Mickey :stir: :lmao: ) and make slip covers for the seats,(table, coach, and upper bunk) put up new contack paper on the cuboard doors. Don will fix the few things and presto super cheep camper to leave at the lake. We have a shed that keeps all our chairs and umbrella and stuff. Can't wait. We have a screened thing for the table and chairs, but will be putting rope lights in it this year. Some more tiki torches or solar lights. Then a rope light down the stairs from the camper to the patio stuff. It will be so nice not to have to pack food and dishes and the tenting stuff all the time up there. It'll be grab cloths and the cooler and lets go. We can stay up past dark and play cards by lights. Can't wait. This guy :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: HIs name is Guy. Anyway he is older than me but grew up with my DB, we all lived in the same town. His parents and mine still live there. His brother lived with me in collage that sort of thing. They more less just gave it to us. It is older but no dings or wholes in the outside, great condition. I'm so happy to be able to pick up and go. AND Most important is that last month Spencer learned to gut his fish and likes it. Sick kid. But I hated doing it, So we can fish all we want now and I don't have to clean them. :cheer2: Maybe we'll take our smoker up there this year. Well better get ready. I'm in Wyatts class today doing the store. Can't wait. Now I have something to help pass my time tell Disney. Mum

I am so sorry that happened, I love the to protect them part, I feel like that sometimes when they beg to go to grandmas house, Its really for there sake not mine. Ya right, it's my story and I can tell it anyway I want. :rotfl2:

Wow Mum it sounds like you got a steal of a deal on that camper!!! Smart Shopping!!!!

How exciting to get that trailer!!! :)

Well, we got home from the doctor's a little after one. Today didn't go quite as planned in a few ways. DS woke up with a fever 101.5 and a sore throat so he couldn't go to school. DD tried to act sick but DH took her to school in his truck to make her happy. The medicine I had to take to lower my BP left me very light headed. Add that to the fact that I couldn't eat or drink after midnight & I wasn't my bright & cheery self at the office after DH dropped me off so that he could turn around & come back the 20 minutes to take DS to the doctor...it was strep just like I thought...and then take him to get the medicine. Well, when I had to have help getting back to xray, the tech didn't like it. My BP is normally 90/60...so she didn't like that either. My heartrate was low too. After an EKG the doctor said that I was dehydrated & needed fluids before he would consider letting me have the cscan today. An hour later I was cleared. Apparently, they aren't suppose to do the corinary with any other tests. You can eat up to 4 hours before it & drink all you want but you can't eat or drink with the ultrasound. OY! That was a different experience. The iodine sure was weird & now I know that I don't get a headache from a nitro pill. I had to wait for my BP to go back up before getting the US done. The tech was really nice & trying to get me to relax & ignore my growling tummy ;) she asked about relaxation. I said that I would like to be on CC. Since she had heard about DCL she asked me about that. ROFL! Suddenly we were discussing everything about DCL! :) I told her about the DIS boards. Someone had told her that her DS would be bored on the ship so I told her about the DVD & all the info here. I was surprised to see the time when it was done. We talked for over 30 minutes!!! She likes the idea of getting to know people before the cruise. :)

I have forgiven DD for last night as well. In her 5 yo mind she was just trying to *help* me paint her room. I asked her how she opened the can...she said with the can opener. Now...I have to hand it to her for being able to do that at 5 yo...right? ;) Also she did a good job of rinsing out the foam brush that she used. There was hardly any paint on that when I found it. I had forgotten about her helping DH paint the primer on the wall in the family room in January. I hope that I have convinced her to check with me before she tries to help me again. ;)

Sorry I forgot to mention the houses are parsonages and we just move into one as someone moves out. Small detail ......

We don't normally take any furniture; even the mattress. If there is a particular health issue we can ask and then it is usually approved for a mattress or lounge chair. A friend of mine carries a chair because of a back problem.

That sure helps to make the sudden moves easier. :) What a day! Thankfully one more day until the weekend. I just hope that both kids wake up well enough to go to school. :)

I forgot to say that I love watching Lost! :) I have also enjoyed Alias from the begining. They tend to use the same style of story telling. I get a kick out of seeing how everyone seems to have had some interaction before getting on the plane. Can't wait to see where this goes next year. :) I have to watch the last show online to see the first full hour of it...and will rewatch the last hour so that I can pause it in a couple spots to get things like the title of the book Desmonde had kept with him.
