Hope everyone had a great weekend. Mine was so busy, but I can't actually tell you what I did?! Oh well. Let's all have a great Monday!!

Good morning everyone! Today is the beginning of a busy week....unless you want to count the weekend since that was busy too. I have finished switching out DD's clothes! I have realized that she doesn't need any more 4/5 clothes. ;) They were coming out of the woodwork I tell ya! Anything that was almost too small got put in the yard sale box to make room. I guess that I will have a ton of clothes to yard sale next summer when she has outgrown these. :)

Hello all.....beautiful weather here this weekend!! Hard to come in to work today....would love to be on the boat!

...love to be on a boat....on a beach....pretty much anywhere but in the office today!!!

Should I dare ask how your pool is going? We're about to break ground next week...so far everything is goind okay. We've had some snags with some of the contractors, but that's to be expected.

Vanessa, I would love to be on the boat. Now with Wendy and Derek not going, I have alooooooot of time to myself. I should be wandering around alot more this cruise. So be prepared to see me all the time.

Jordan

Goodness! I have been working on the site. Something changed with the spacing so everything was off. I ended up changing the format for the kid's pages so it wont be affected by any other adjustments. I am going to hold off adjusting the family information pages for now.

We had our secong softball game today! The first was on Saturday and they took FOREVER to call the game for the rain! I was not a happy coach! :furious: Not only was it raining hard, but it was cold and windy as well. I am on the board so I will definately be making quite a stink over having the kids play in such conditions this year. It is one thing if it is a light drizzle in 70 degree weather and quite another to be almost pouring, windy and cold!
Today the girls did well despite the landslide loss! (22-6) It is hard to convince them that they did well playing against the best and most aggressive team in the league! I just told them that they will improve as the season progresses and that is all that counts. With only 6 teams, everyone will be in the playoffs this year, so they will always have a chance to win the championship (even though I feel having a championship is a little much for 9-12 year olds).

The next month is going to be super busy with softball for two DDs, soccer for one of them, school, Girl Scouts, and finally dance. I can't wait until the recital in May! At least next week will be slow with Spring break and most activities on hold! :teeth:

wow....someone else in da house.....do you realize I bought 22 boxes of Girl Scout cookies.

22 Boxes of Girls Scout cookies~~if I bought them I would eat all of them. That would be scary because my hubby would have to roll me :rotfl: to the cruise ship!

Should we ask how many you've eated so far?

Those things are too tempting for me. I didn't buy any...I usually give my niece the money and say- keep the cookies!!

Try having CASES of GS cookies in your house for over a month! I actually do pretty good not opening any cookies because I usually have some left that we buy. Now keeping a 3 year old away from them.... Actually this year she was alot better and she usually asked before she opened a box. Last year was a different story! Now I a do have candy bars to sell for softball....any takers?? :rotfl2:

I have finally finished filling the last of the 150 dozen eggs!!! Yesterday the 1st grade had only collected half the money so I stopped working on the eggs. Well, most of the rest of it came in this morning so after I got home from the Y and found the message from the teacher, I got to work. :) I'll be "hiding" them all on the back playground then the kids will get a snack. Then....I'll do it all over tomorrow for the Kindergarten. Part of me is greatful that they don't do ANY parties for holidays in the 2nd grade. ;) I'll only have one grade to do for the next two years.

It is so beautiful here! I looked at the weather for next week & it looks like alot of rain up in DC. Guess I need to pack the rain coats.

We haven't seen Girl Guide (scout) cookies since I was a Guide (way back when.) And we just had chocolate/vanilla boxes then. Now I know that they also have the thin chocolate mints at Christmas. But I haven't bought a box since 1987. They just don't come door to door anymore and I don't hit the malls for the booths they set up. What kind of cookies type are there across the boarder? I know you have lots, so fess up.

Penny

:rotfl2: Too funny, I'd tell you but I can't spell. I do know that they have smamoas? the best I think, then the thin mints arn't what they used to be. then a coconut thing, and a peanut butter one and lots more. Some one would now or you can check out the girlscout sight for all the skinny.

I just heard on the radio this morning that we have had over 300 tornados touch down already this year, usally they said we have 60 a year, but thats a lot, just thought I'd let you now what there telling us up in the sticks, and we get rain for 10 more days, thrilling. gotta go Mum

We have swarms of GS at our house in the spring. Many of DD's friends participate and they all know I can't resist! Also, You can't go to a Kroger, Borders, or Office Depot without passing a table of cookies. Our fav's are Thin Mints, Shortbread (with milk) and Peanut Butter.

We finished the bunny fence around the veggie garden this weekend. I'll try to get a pic on board later this afternoon. It was a lot of work but hopefully it will do the trick.

The weather has been georgous ever since we got rid of those pesky tornados. Speaking of which, Mrs. Mork and Dr Hugs, how much time did you spend at Hartsfield trying to get away?

We finally took DD to the GA Aquarium on Saturday. I hate to "Dis" my own town but The Living Seas is better.

Oh, Oh, Oh! Enough $$$ fell into our laps on Monday to pay off the cruise. :woohoo: That means no more higgldy piggldy payments every two weeks and then charge the rest in September. Now I just have to save some spending money. Guess I won't have to wash dishes in the kitchen after all.

Hey, GoofyFD!!! You aren't going to be the only published DISer on this cruise anymore. :) I just found out that DD has won an art & literature award for the County and her artwork is being published in a book with all the winners (maybe county...maybe state...not sure yet). She will be given a copy of the book at a ceremony on May 7!!!! :) I can't wait to see what the picture is. I bet that it is one of the princesses. Her drawings get pretty detailed. The teacher sent this in a long time ago & just got the notice today. :)
