Oh, this is adding to the ammunition when I go talk to the principal...or when DH does. I guess the conduct mark got to me because last week he got a 2 for kicking (he says pretending to kick) a kid across the table from him at lunch. There were 3 of them playing around doing this. They all flipped a card for it & got marked down a point for conduct. I agree with this & talked to him about it. Copying a word wrong & having the same "punishment" be given as the other incident just doesn't sit well with me.

Lisa I love the rooms! I am glad to see that I am not the only "nut" who enjoys having awesome walls in the kids rooms!!! When we decided to do "Thomas the Tank" in DS room I had pillow cases and everything at school to get the art teachers professional opinion on color choices. :goodvibes

When I am playing with them in their room I feel happy that they are so nice. I am sure you feel the same too.

Well, two other kids have it spelled correctly as hooray. It still irks me that she didn't catch it since that is what the conduct mark down was for. I don't know what to do about DS's school next year. I would consider home schooling him but DD needs to go to school. It would be horrible in the mornings if I dropped her off & brought him home.

We usually get about 5 weeks turnaround for a move and we move fairly quickly. We leave Oklahoma on Sunday the 25th of June and we are in the office in Baltimore by Wednesday the 28th.

The POD is great and it will hold our belongings because we don't have to move furniture.

It probably could count as only one piece of luggage but you would have to tie it to the side of the ship because it is as big as the stateroom itself.

Lisa! The walls look great!! I am one to have great ideas, but to actually finish anything, well... :rolleyes:

I get them painted, that's about it! :rotfl:

I still haven't covered up the lipstick face my youngest DD drew on her wall while still in a crib! This summer will be a big one for painting though. Had to take out 4 windows on one side of the house for the addition so those rooms need painting, plus painting the addition if it gets done, plus oldest DD has been promised a makeover in her room. She wants Tinkerbell and we have pretty much picked out colors etc. Now I just need the ambition after school is out, softball, coach-pitch, and soccer are over, Girl Scouts is wrapped up..... :teeth:

Well, you can forget about seeing DD's room finished any time soon. After chasing her down in the neighborhood for running out of the house on her own, I put her in time out in her room so that I could clean up the kitchen & make dinner. She came downstairs about 10 minutes later telling me "sorry." I saw small specks of light blue paint on her cheeks. What did I find upstairs? Well, she managed to open a paint can & proceeded to paint over some of the ivy, a shelf, and alot of the wall with light blue paint.

There was a mess in the bathroom and she dripped paint on the carpet going back & forth from the bathroom to the wall. I lost it & sent DS & DD across the street to a neighbor's house for her own protection until DH got home. It is out of the carpet, off the shelf and the bathroom floor...but not off the wall.

It's a good thing that I had to take the meds to lower my blood pressure tonight. I must remain calm.

She has passed out on the couch exhausted from crying.

Well maybe I can start those projects late July. My mother put out the idea of a cruise to my sister and myself. Well, do that to us and we HAVE to go! :thumbsup2

So now we are in the planning stages. We are thinking about going on the same boat DH and I were supposed to go on to Bermuda, RCCL Explorer. It leaves from NJ which is a big plus. We also invited my DM's best friend. Turns out there is an over 55 rate that we can get. I called and it applies to everyone in the room! We have to wait for results from a few test my sister had done recently. She had a mamogram (sp?) done and they found a mass in each breast. It runs in the family, but we all have our fingers crossed! :grouphug:

I am now saying the cruise is to celebrate not only my mom's b-day, her friend's retirement, my graduation, but my sister's good news! I am forever the optimist!! Please send some pixie dust her way!! :wizard:

Sounds like you had as bad a day as I have! I held a softball practice, mind you we have not had many because of prior commitments everyone has had lately, and 5 showed up! One of those was of course my DD. After the game yesterday I had 2 tell me they couldn't come. Where were the other 4 who said yesterday they would be there :furious:

?!?! Add to that some of the ones who were there gave me a very hard time today. :sad2:

This is on top of the hard times I get at most of the games from some. From "I don't want to play that postition" to "Can I sit out?" to "I'm tired" etc. Not to mention the hard times they give each other sometimes, although I think we have that nipped pretty good now. I was so ready to just quit today or not show up at the next game unannounced myself! I think I may just come to the next game and tell them they can make up their own line up and positions for the game. :stir:

THAT would be interesting!!

Oh my goodness - I would have a heart failure or faint :faint:

if I walked in and saw a paint mess on the walls. I would also need to send them to the neighbors for their own protection because I would be flaming mad! :mad:
