Penny, do you mean that you are accruing comp time now? They stopped letting them do that in the civil service here. DH had to use all of his up & get it off the record.

Well, goodnight everyone! I need to get some rest if I am going to take the kids to the beach tomorrow. :)

Just popped in to say good morning

Haven't heard anything on our court case. I thought the judge was only allowed to take 5 days. This waiting is killing me...but DH now thinks that not hearing means bad news. :furious: Oh well - it is out of my hands.

Take care all. Thanks for the well wishes.

Good morning! What crazy weather we have here!!! It was raining down at the beach earlier but that has moved out & another band of Tstorms is heading to where we live...so I am heading south with the kids...if we can get it together.

Good morning all, just an FYI only 154 days 17 hours 23 min. :rotfl2:
Off to work have a wonderful day. Do something today for someone when they least expect it!!

Hey mark,

I was thinking maybe since our rooms are together on deck 5 that we could host the deck 5 stop on the DIS Room Tour so people can see the "Secret Porthole" rooms. Between the two cabins we shoudn't be that crowded.

Let me know what you think?

Hi all,

Jumping in after lurking on these boards for years (literally... found the DIS when researching our 2003 trip to WDW!)

The whole family is going on the double dip in December so our group will have 13 people (Grandparents, Kids/Spouses and their Kids) in 4 rooms on deck 6. Our part of the group may add a super quick (Sat/Sun) visit to Universal at the end for the coaster junkies. Can't wait!

Now, just need the Southwest rates to come out so we can find a flight bargain!

Feel like I "know" you already, but figured it would be creepy to say hi to you on board without joining in here first.

I'll get my info to Lisa soon!

One quick question: will they put all 13 of us together at a table together for dinner (we really do get along and have fun together!)

Thanks!

Hi Marielle and party of 13! It sounds like you are in for a fantastic trip!
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Welcome Aboard!

We have a Brewsters about one mile from the house! :teeth: They do the free scoop thing too. It is a walk up and order at the window type of place, so without the free scoop, they do almost no business in the rain. Of course here in the deep south a free scoop because of snow is not really an issue. :lmao:
If it snows in Atlanta Brewsers is usually closed :lmao: :rotfl2: . Ours is a walkup too so all the seating is out doors.

Hi Marielle,

The will group your cabins together for dinner if the reservation #'s are linked.

I've seen large groups before at dinner.

However if your group is really brave, You could link ressies with the rest of us Dis'rs too and then our groups will be seated together. (Should get real interesting and noisy.) Lisa is going to give the names, cabin # and ressie #'s to the dining people for those that want to link their dining. There is a group at early seating and one at late.

~~Kristina

BTW Where are you from? Besides a SWA city. I'm waiting for SW too. Hoping to get our flights down maybe next Thursday...

Welcome!!! :lmao: You made me laugh already! That would be creepy and kind of fun for all 13 of you to just start talking to someone like you've known them for years. :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

I know they do tables for 12, I would think they could work one more in. Join us! Lisa can request a table for your group but near the rest of us. Are you early or late dining? The fun crowd will be doing late. :teeth: :woohoo: :dance3:

Thanks for the info. I'll make sure our family's reservations are linked (actually, this cruise is an incredibly generous gift from my parents to the kids and grandkids so mom has all the reservation info) We are responsible for transportation and anything extra we do (from drinking to excursions, as well as tips).

Kids at cruise time are dd13, dd8, ds3 (mine) and their cousins are 9 and 7. One of mine will stay with grandparents or their aunt/uncle (another advantage since we are a family of 5 who'd have to get a bigger cabin!) My girls have read every page of the passporter and the official DCL website (doesn't everyone's second-grader bring the Passporter to school for independent reading time?!)

I'm the only one internet-geeky enough to study all of this and know that I'll make door signs, order a great basket from shirley for my parents, and pick up aliengreen Mickey paint chips from home depot.

Kristina (from FredNECK--my best friend from college was from Frederick and I still say Fredneck and probably offend people!) I'm just outside Philly but have also done BWI (2 hrs door-to-door). Hoping for Philly to cut down on the driving.

I actually grew up in NE Philly near State Rd and Linden Ave. My Dsis and some family are still up there. My Ddad lives in Levittown.

I know what you mean about extra driving though. But BWI does have more flights to MCO so sometimes we get better deals/flight times.

After college i lived in Central Pennsyltucky for 8 yrs then i moved down here. I lived closer in to DC then we have kept moving further out until we bought our house in Frederick. (It is pretty fredneck by comparison to other areas.)

OK,
This is getting weirder. I've lived a good chunk of my life in south central PA (Carlisle area) and have cousins in Levittown. Should there be any other odd connections, I've also lived in North Carolina and Virginia.

Marielle, have your DD bring her Passporter and Goofy(which Goofy in our group is also in the book, I have no clue what page of the thread that was on?) and I will sign our pages, lol.

Also there are lots of us Disers on Deck 6 are you at the front, middle or back of the ship?

Pj

Ps. WELCOME
