Hi, Cristi! :grouphug: Good to hear from you. Thanks for popping in occasionally and helping us get the post count up!

I had to drive home in the dark with torrential rain tonight. I was so thankful to get home! I was seriously afraid of a gigantic puddle swallowing me whole!

Angie - I would love to chat but my eyes are falling closed! MUST SLEEP.....I'll catch you tomorrow.

There is flooding about an hour away from us...and another hour from that too. :(

Be careful driving out there. They showed whole chunks of roads washed out. I think that was in Md.

We were having a serious draught about 1.5 months ago and now we have enough rain to last a long long long time.

I think I am going to whimp out and go to bed early tonight also. Eyes are droopy. :wave2:

Well I'll be . . . 47,000 + posts? That thread is aptly named. I promise I will never again accuse you guys of being too chatty. Yikes! :confused3

Lisa, guess what Amy got? An Ice Cream maker. And guess what, we are brining it to the beach. Ice Cream and milkshakes here we come!

Now, lets start thinking about flavors . . .

We went out for ice cream tonight, and the place near us "Handels" has lots of homemade flavors. My new favorite is called "cake batter", and is a flavor that tastes just like licking the beaters when you were a kid and your mom was mixing the cake batter! Mmmmmmmm Mmmmmmm Goooooooood!

John

Hey Kristina - we should invite John to Brewsters....they have cake batter ice cream!!!! Yummy!!

Good morning all.

I am so tired of all this rain. I live near the Susquehanna River and it is supposed to go up about 10 feet and could hit flood stages. All the local creeks are flooding...people are pulling their stuff out...just not good.

I had the kids in the pool last night telling them to splash!! Normally I'm yelling - no splash, but we need to get the water level down. :rolleyes2

So please please please ----- all you who need rain ----- take ours!!!

Ya know, I can remember posting something along this line before...say, back on page 183 or so....but since I can't jump to that page, I forget where I said it... :rotfl: :rotfl:

....anyway...us daytimers do all the chatty work of pumping up the posts only to have you night-timers come in and sweep up those XX00 posts. Gosh Darnit.

My boys were in VBS this week and I thought - wow - I have 2 hours to get on the computer and chat.....but then I had to run to the drug store...and to the grocery store...and to get gas...and run to the mall.....there went my 2 hours!!! Maybe tonight. SHHHHHHHH!!!!!

I guess I should quit whining about not washing the car.

Good luck and best wishes. I'll be thinking about you. :grouphug:

Tonight I had a teachers union meeting. Our contract expires on the last day of June. We approved a contract at our meeting. Tomorrow night the school board will have a special meeting to (hopefully) approve it as well. The contract is pretty good...I am happy. This time around it was easy. Last time it expired and we worked 2 years without a contract. We went on strike and everything until it was settled. It was a real nightmare! I am in a union but I am not much of a union girl.....
Good luck today with the contract!

:hourglass :hourglass :hourglass

(That was waiting for the school board approval)

I think if a group of us wanted to have brunch together in the private room at Palo that the conciere (I can't even SPELL it :lmao: ) could help set that up. Kim??

Mrs. Mork,

Hey I try anything! You just tell me what to ask for. Do I ask for this stuff early on, or once we get on the ship?

Lisas little girl is precious. DH and I just laugh when we see the e-mails( they are sooo cute!) but DD takes them with the upmost seriousness and they make total 6 year old sense.

Kim

We would need to see how many are interested and then you would need to contact them ahead of time. There is a separate room at Palo that holds a large group. DISers have used it before. A Cat 3 guest on the 10 day Christmas Cruise in 2004 reserved it for us. If we are interested I can PM her and ask her who/when/how she arranged it. Guess we would first need to see if others are interested in a group brunch. Count us in for 2.

It is fun for the kids to email and make friends before they get onboard. Our DGS sent just one email while he was visiting us, but still talks about "that boy, Nicolas, that I am going to play with on the ship." They are too cute! :grouphug:
