Just spent a chunk of time at the Apple store today (no, I did not buy any new toys)... my power cord for the PowerBook was literally being held together by tape (the chunky brick part that plugs into the wall)... I hoped it could be fixed/replaced under Applecare, and it was... those friendly guys at the Genius Bar know not to ask any dangerous questions (like, did you trip over the cord, thereby voiding the warranty?!)

Playing catch up stinks - how many pages am I behind. Too many references to things I am clueless about soI can't skip around. Good thing too because I would have missed Andy's earlier update about Kristina and her recovery and request for headphones. She's home today - yes? I have pages still to read but I've been absentee family member lately and I just got a call from my nephew to come save him from boredom so I need to sign off here.

I hope everyone is feeling better today - Dennis, Becka.

See ya!

I suppose that is code for throw away those Dove dark chocolate hearts that I've been scoffing down at 2A for the past three days? :confused3

Oh no, no! Eating healthy includes dark chocolate! Studies are now showing it is very good for us. Eat up!! :woohoo:

Happy (late) Birthday Lisa~!~ Hope it was fantastic...

Ok, so far we are in agreement here, dark chocolate it is! But will there be some DISsenters who will claim milk chocolate is better?

A vote for dark chocolate here, too....

Oh, those Dove chocolates at 2am? They don't count.

Andy - thanks for keeping us up to date. Let Kristina know i will callher when she is home.

Hello everyone

Just a quick update on Autumn. She is still in the hospital, been 3 weeks now and 3 major surgeries. They think she had a stroke this past tuesday after surgery. She is having extreme difficulties talking and moving her left side of her body. She is also in kidney failure and still is fighting a mass infection. She will most likely be having surgery on mon or wed this week. Please keep us in your prayers, we need every one of them.

Hugs and prayers

Jill

I'll be passing all my prayers along to you guys...

:grouphug:

LOL - always the jokester!!!

Did you see we booked the 5 day for Sept. 2008? A double dip to CC. and now it is a Deb Wills cruise with the Hidden Mickey guy. I was only half serious about going until I knew it was a Deb cruise.

Maybe we will see some of you returning passengers when you dock in PC.

Jill - I am very sorry to hear that Autumn has been so ill. I hope for your family's sake that they can get her infection under control. Please let us know and sending you lots of good wishes and pixie dust.

Things here today are going pretty well. The kids are a little hyper but nothing too bad. Nathan had a lunch of an organic pita pocket with turkey, lettuce and tomato and grapes and he loved it! :yay: Guess what is going in his lunch box for tomorrow? I was afraid he would not like it without the mayo and without his normal bread but he didn't seem to notice. He still is handling all of this really well and I am so thankful for that.

I'm pretty sure there is a mayonnaise substitute called Nayonnaise or something like that - not sure if it contains any corn products or not.
Good luck at work tomorrow.

Becka - I think I will get Giona checked for allergies too. He eats so poorly and his temperment is not always good. What kind of test did they do? do they still do the pin prick tests?

I have been taking the time to reread the Harry Potter books since I have been off work. I am starting to get pretty excited about the upcoming movie and of course about the release of Book 7. I think I need to plan a weekend away to read that book when it come out without any interference from DH and the kids. :rotfl: I keep thinking it would be so great to be able to get the book and read it while sitting in a chair at CC. :)

you and hubby should consider the 5 day DD for Sept. 2008. Since it will practically be a shortened repeat of the cruise we just did - I am thinking it will be pretty easy and stress free and not too expensive.

just a thought.

Well, it is beginning to look like we won't have much controversy about the dark vs milk chocolate. popcorn:: Still a few to weigh in though, we will see.;)
