Carl's email to me this morning - he dropped Bella off this morning:

It was so cold they let everyone in the Oak street door. She wouldn't hold my hand or even let me walk with her, I had to walk behind her because she saw some of her friends. So I walk behind her and pretend I don't know her. If I do a good job and don't embarrass her I get a wave goodbye. The trains were delayed an hour this morning due to "mechanical difficulties". We froze waiting for the train, when it finally came I couldn't even get my T pass out of my bag my hands were so numb from the cold. Everybody was late because the T had problems everywhere, supposedly with switches. But the T made up for it by flashing on their signs in between delay updates "Sorry for the inconvenience"

Lisa - I love the new signatures. Of course they are probably not new - just play along like I have a clue please!

:sad1: :goodvibes Listening to a CD of cruise music a DISer sent me & smiling & tearing up. Right now that song "Welcome to our family time...Welcome to our happy to be time.... " is playing & it makes me think of you guys. I will HAVE to do a slide show to it with Geek pictures. :thumbsup2

I LOVE that song! I have both the Jump5 and the Phil Collins versions... (and I have made WDW slideshows to both already)

I just added it early this morning...maybe 1 am? Like your new lines in the siggy too. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I don't know the song  where is the pout smilie?

You would know it if you heard it.

It was also the theme song for the Disneyland 50th anniversary Parade of Dreams parade -- except I can't find that version anywhere and I'm so used to it since we saw it on 4 trips to DL that year.

Can anyone tell me why the trash collectors always throw the barrels down so they roll into the street?! Can't they throw it where you at least left them? :confused3

Okay, I am absolutely freaking out and someone needs to talk me down....

Sarah has had off and on pain in her leg for the last few months. At first I thought it was growing pains but now (thanks to the power of Google) I am completely worrying myself into thinking it's bone cancer.

I have an appt with the doctor tomorrow. I need some good thoughts -- I don't know how parents with sick kids do it - I'd be a wreck. Jill is my hero right now!

I have to go back to work this morning. I am really going to miss my Tylenol 3. I didn't take any yesterday afternoon (only took Ibuprofen) just so I could gage how much pain I would be in and by last night I was HURTING. If you have any spare good thoughts for me today I could sure use them. I am such a baby and I hate to be in pain.

 Get better Becka. Sending prayers your way.

Sorry you are still feeling so poorly - you should not have to look forward to both a Monday back at work and pain. My only advice is - once you get to work, take enough Tylenol so you don't feel the pain. The recommended dosages are very much on the safe side, I am sure, based on some 5 ft tall 100 lb college student, to avoid side effects of long term usage. OK - I am not an MD - so no one should follow my advice - but because I am not that average person, I would take a bit more in such a situation.

I've had many doctors tell me that's the case with Ibuprofen. That the suggested 2 pills (400 mg) really don't touch bad pain and that I should take 4 pills (800 mg). It really does help. I wouldn't necessarily recommend it with Tylenol though, I've heard tylenol can be a little harder on your liver if you take more than recommended. :confused3

Hannah went through the leg pain for quite a while. I thought growing pains, too... but DH had the same concerns that you have (and he does NOT get worked up about every little thing... we have to use the "mom" judgement call in the house, not the dad-doctor judgement call). All was well, though.

Joy, Dody (and Todd, too):
QUIT HOGGING ALL THE HEAT! We just want a little bit, please?

Sorry -- wish I could share....

Was a nice change from the below-freezing temps we had in January -- I know, cry you a river... but it was colder than we're used to!

We had a beautiful weekend - the kids played outside while we primed and painted the crown molding strips.

I'm hoping our landscaper can finish the plantings before it starts to rain later this week.

Joy - more than likely it is just growing pains but you should probably still have it checked out. I have talked to a few parents here over the last few years whose kids had those growing pains as well and they all were concerned but everyone of them turned out to be fine. I think it is one of those situations were the vast majority of times it is fine so try to think of that instead of those google search results. :)

Thanks to all who are thinking about me. I am in quite a bit of pain today. My Dr. had already prescribed the 800mg of Ibuprofen for me to take every 8 hours. I have a meeting from 1-2 today and I may decide to go home after the meeting, take some pain pills and rest before DH and the kids get home.

DH has been all put out that he has had to deal with the kids all this time. He is really taking his frustration out on the kids and it is driving me crazy. He is really frustrated with me but he can't show it because he thinks that would make him the bad guy. I mean really who can be mad at the wife for breaking a rib and being in pain? :sad2: Instead he can just be mad at the kids because they dare to ask him to get them a drink and interrupt something he was doing. I am really fed up with his attitude about it all. I know the kids are not perfect all the time but he is getting worked up over just normal kid behavior stuff and then he starts yelling at them. :sad2: The whole thing is just making me mad and unfortunately there is no a whole lot I can do right now.

Happy Birthday Dennis!!! I hope you have a great day and tell your wife to bake you up a little apple dish from us! ;)
