Just got home around 9:30 this evening (13 hour drive from Tampa)

Missed 1 port (Progresso) because of the seas but Coz, Belize and Cayman were perfect. Carnival has its points but Disney is better in others. Biggest disapointment was no Xmas celebration on Xmas day (sea day). and all the outdoor pools and stuff close at @ 8 pm....

Angie, thanks for the kind thoughts, and I hope you feel better soon . . . it really stinks to be ill when you have some time off. I'm still coughing and feeling blah today, but a little bit better. We remembered that we had an antibiotic from the cruise that we did not use, so I started that last night.

I think I am going to settle in and watch some bowl game FB with Alex.

Sophia won't let me take the tree down until her Godmother comes to visit for Christmas. She was supposed to come yesterday, but with me feeling yucky, and Amy not feeling the greatest, we cancelled.

Good morning! We went to bed at 10 last night so missed all the New Year hoopla, but I have to say I am feeling much, much better this morning so it was worth it!

We will watch some FB bowl games today. I have a primerib that I will cook for dinner. Dennis still no sign of getting sick, hope, hope, hope.....

Don't know if I mentioned this already - forgive me if I am repeating myself.

This will probably be our LAST December cruise for awhile. With all the cutbacks our company has had, they did not have a lot of fun with me gone this year for this week in December. It is too critical a time for us. If I had not already booked for '07, I would probably not be going . . .

If the week after Thanksgiving becomes the plan for '08, I WILL be able to do that - just no December.

Our 2008 cruise will HOPEFULLY be a special itinerary cruise. Waiting and waiting. After that we are open to whenever.

Did anyone else get to hit Tarjay this morning? I had a great time...even with DS in tow. I just got back from "picking up one more mug" and ended up with some great toy deals including the POC chess game at 50%!!! Lots of puzzles marked down too. The best thing was memory scrapbook sets that were originally 16.00. They were marked down to 30% to 11xx. Those were scanning at 75% off the 11xx price!!!!! I bought a ton for gifts, the kids to make their own scrapbooks, and ornament & coaster kits to make gifts next year. I need to update my spreadsheet!!!

That one exception was getting to share a week with all of you!

I have wondered a lot about mom's passing, and the timing of it. I think mom or a higher power knew that our family needed to be away, and she made sure that we could be there for her, and that we could still get away to heal as a family.

The older I get, the more that I think that the more important things I get to do with the remainder of my days is to make good friends and be able to spend time with those people. Everything else may fade away, but those memories you make and share with those you care about can last forever.

You are all some of the kindest, most wonderful people I have ever met - your friendship meant a lot to us, and the good times we shared were priceless. I will remember it forever.

This cruise lived up to the hype we created, and while I hope we have as good a time in the future, I don't know that we can ever again be with such a great group of people . . . many of you are sailing with us again, so we can try.

Good riddance 2006 (other than the week of December 9-16), and welcome to 2007. May it be a blessed year for all of you, you have all added to our lives.

Thanks Carla! Birthday Party #1 on the 30th with friends is done, Birthday Party two with friends and thier parents all night last night is done. Tree is down, house is clean. Today my entire goal is to go to 7-11 and get a diet coke. I am really reaching for the stars today.
