Do not know about that, but I guess if they can still book group rates then that would be the way I would go.

Book a blocks of rooms to fit the list of clients they have(plus extra), then assign the clients to room # after they are off the phone with DCL.

Our Castaway Club cards and Shoreside survival kit arrived in the mail today. BUT THE CD WAS BROKEN!!!!!

We got ours yesterday also... with the broken CD. I was hoping to get the puzzle Caroline got.

I'm confused too. I'd assume local TA's for me won't get up at 5am to book it for me so I'd guess I'm better off doing it myself? Or would DU or someplace like that be able to get a better deal than I'd get calling for myself at 5am?

I don't see how the GKs could be GKs without the parents being kids first.

DU is offering $200-$300 onboard credit for the repros also. I submitted a request for a quote from them.

I would think if I put in a request with DU, they wouldn't get to mine until much later as I am sure they have NUMEROUS quotes to get, leaving the possibility of a higher price if I go through them. But they can just keep plugging away with the same CM until they are done? OY!

They may very well not get group rates, I bet they will still be able to book group blocks of cabins.

well I think my best bet is to try myself. And cancel the Dec cruise. If Fl rates happen to come out for the Dec cruise we will just book it within the 90 day period. It would be silly not to use the 10% discount on the repo. Plus I will only have to come up with $1250 as opposed to $2k. I guess that means I should cancel my requests with the TA's, they can't do anything with my DCL booking unless I transferred it correct? And only DCL will honor/work with the onboard discount?

Very true V. My Med Repo that I will be transferring is still through DCL. I had great luck getting that one first thing the morning they came out. Maybe I can have the same luck.

Caroline, just ask and you will be ok, if the answer is yes, do it by e-mail so you have proof, it will be nuts at DU for the next three weeks or so.

OBC, seems like if you have a OBC and you are not with a TA, they you have to call yourself.

Others were also commenting on DU's booking credit offer for the repos.

Group rates aren't what they use to be. It is more restrictive for TAs in general since 4/1/06....if they are even able to do those for the repos. Dody, I wouldn't rely on a local TA. They aren't going to be a DCL expert & be as motivated to get up to make that booking. You will be able to get the same deal if you talk to DCL at 8 am ET as the TAs will. You can then transfer to whoever for the best discount.

I believe they have a seperate number that they call or queue that they are transferred to.
