I need to get on another cruise right away! I just realized (reading Brack's TR) that I never had the drink of the day. I also never went to the cove cafe to have that frappachino thingie. What was that again? Of course now that Eggnog Chai Latte is no longer available I need to obsess about what I missed on the cruise.

Today was beautiful here. We broke the record...74. The kids rode their bikes in shorts & tank tops. OY! I had to weed the flowerbeds...that do not have any blooming flowers in them because although the bulbs are starting to sprout, it isn't time for anything else to be in the stores. If we had planted pansies this year they would be dead by now with all of the hot weather. WAHHH!!!! I like color in the beds but this year it is just grass & dirt. Maybe this means that they will bloom really well this summer?

Well let me tell you, I am ready to build the ark here! Rain, rain, and more rain! It has rained for almost 48 straight hours! Not always hard, but just constant. I can tell you that taking the dog out has been a real joy. Our yard is turning into a bog.

On the bright side, I am still looking at pictures on snapfish, but it makes me think if I will ever again get to have as much fun, with such a varied, and wonderful group of people on a cruise.

I really wish we were all going to be together again!

Well

Just got done ordering 174 pictures from snapfish. I guess we will be filling up that album. I can't say I am too fond of pictures of myself, so it is probably good that I am the photographer, but the cool thing about everyone else's albums is that there are some pictures of me, so I guess I can prove I was there.

Morning all.....
I am really frustrated with my job....on Friday my boss and another director took me out to lunch. Somehow in the conversation it was noted that we (our department) was approved for another FTE...a senior accountant position...now our dept currently has 8 senior accountants and me...the lowly accountant...my problem firstly is that in my Nov review....I was told there is nothing in the budget for changing titles and pay scales. Secondly, why the need to bring in a new FTE at the top? Shouldn't they have something to work for?

I am just mad about the whole thing. They two payroll clerk positions were raised this year and that wasn't budgeted, the AP girls were also raised....now I am not begrudging anyone in our dept, we all need more $$...I am just complaining.

The good, I have a flexible schedule, as long as my work is done, little else matters. I have reduced childcare being an employee. I can pretty much take vacation even if I haven't accrued any as long as it does not occur during month end close.

I guess it could be worse.

Oh V! I so "get it". It's about feeling appreciated. You're human that's allowed. Regardless of the pluses, they told you one thing in November and Friday told you something else. I was going to ask you all kinds of questions about the roles etc but you know what - you may have just needed to vent vs. hearing any hypothesis I have and I just want to say we're here for you!

There's so much more at Chocolate World than they used to have! We spent a bit of time there on our trip this summer after skipping it for years. You really can spend quite a bit of time there. The Cows/Milk Marketing people appear to have taken over the "chocolate factory tour" ride!

Hey Captain - how did we not hear that tale?! I want to hear about diving in the living seas at Epcot. How cool! Pics please!

We did the dive at epcot back in 04 - we werent allowed to take pictures, couldnt even use our own equipment cause they didnt want to spoil the water in any way. It was a great experience though ...diving around and watching people eat at the restaurant there. The shark feeding was in Nassau when we stopped there on our first Disney cruise ...

I would have loved to! We ended up about 10 inutes late to the party though. We left in plenty of time to get there early, but Borders kind of sucks the time from you.
