I'm not watching the game 'cause I just got back home from my road trip. I left at noon on Sunday for Charleston, WV and arrived just in time for kickoff. Up early on Monday for a meeting in Charleston then off to Clarksburg for a three hour meeting. We left there at 5:30, stopped in Morgantown, WV for dinner and then drove over the mounntains to Hagerstown, MD for the night. On the trip the temp read a -3 degrees!. Tuesday we had a three hour meeting in Frederick and then had a three hour meeting in Baltimore.

I get home on Tuesday night at 5:30PM ..... at 6:30PM Annette, JoJo and I get in the car to drive to New Bern, NC. We arrive in New Bern at 1:30AM and stay at the worst Days Inn there is. I wished that I had Lisa's number and had brought Bobby but I really did not have any time. :sad1: The next morning I am a pallbearer for a retired Officer. The funeral is finished at 1PM and we head back to Baltimore. We have been home only about two hours now.

I am really tired! Tomorrow I have one of the auditors from our headquarters for the day and then Annette, JoJo and I are going to visit grandma in NC.

No relief in sight ..... :scared:

Boy I am tired just reading all that. I hate driving. and I thought I had it bad being a twin chauffeur.

We just got our new minivan after putting 125,000 miles on the old one - mostly driving back and forth to the main town center - about 15 miles away.
It' s amazing how you can put 20,000 miles a year on a vehicle that way.

hello to you both!!! thank Annette for calling me back last week.

DrHug has been on a "high fructose corn syrup is a killer campaign" for a couple of years now. Diabetes, obesity, lots of health problems have been dramatically on the rise since all the companies switched from real sugar to this. It was an economical decision and I am sure they had no idea what the outcome was going to be. Trans fats probably kill far fewer people than HFCS, but..... our soapbox here!

I know the stuff is not good for you but goodness it is really in EVERYTHING! It is just shocking. We started going through our pantry/frig/freezer a little bit last night and I would say easily 90% of the stuff has some form of corn syrup or corn product (food starch, maldextrin, etc.).

Thankfully DS seems to be handling this far better than DH and I are. He had some or her new organic cereal with rice milk this morning and he liked it. We made a big deal about his "special" milk. We are going to have a lot of work to do with the daycare because we don't know what is and what is not safe so today we packed him some supplemental foods because we know some of what they serve today will not work. DS got a Power Ranger lunchbox this past year and just used it to play but he was so excited that he could actually take it to school with real food in it. He got to take some special (non corn syrup) bread, raisins, banana chips, mandarin oranges and he wanted a few chips to take also. DH found some Kettle Chips that were corn/dairy free so we threw just a few in there. Hopefully that will be enough to supplement the school food.

This is going to be a long learning process.

Just wait till he starts telling you what he should and shouldn't have!

What do you mean wait? He was already doing that this morning! :rotfl:

Kids adapt amazingly well and while he keeps asking us about certain favorite foods we keep assurring him we will find something just as good or better. I think the cereal with rice milk this morning made him feel a lot better because he was pretty bummed that none of his cereals were OK anymore and he was afraid he would have to eat cereal dry. ;)

Ok, I am all Sophia has a disney son. No she doesn't! Oh yea DS. I have the brain age game. LOVE IT!!!

dang, that would be so much fun! What day is her party? Am I anywhere near Ohio then?

Saturday, the 17th (which is her birthday) Party is from 2:30-4:30.

:)

Wow. lots of birthday's coming up. Haley will be 2 on Saturday...if you ask her old she is she will hold up one finger and say "Twwwwwwwwoooooo"! I am working hard on getting her to actually use two fingers...

John is back to playing ball and we may go out there tonight since it is a 7 pm game...

Becka, I remember my Grandma going through much similar things with my "brother"...one cruise we went on this kid was bouncing off the walls, under the table etc....he didn't have allergies but the food coloring was making him nuts as well as things like apple juice, etc....I often wonder about cutting things out of the girls diet but admit I am a bit lazy when it comes to it...juicy boxes and packaged single serving snacks are often a godsend when we get home. I should really sit down and revisit that though and maybe cut up veggies and put in snack bags over the weekend for after school snacks...I know the girls love apples...keep us posted on Nathan, I am sure you guys will get into the swing of things quickly!

Oh, and BTW, Samantha and Haley can come on the 17th too!

Well, it was more than UGLY, but the good guys win tonight! The RAT and his evil empire lose! (why, yes, I AM completely emotionally involved in a sporting event... why do you ask???)
(But, really, Brack deserves a Tar Heel victory after that travel schedule... so it's all for Brack.)

I go lay down with Sophia with 7 min left in the game and the team lets me down!! Coach K needed me and I had to take care of my child... Oh well. Congratulations Marielle and Brack!!

uh no...... Sophia is going to visit her Aunt this weekend since it is a long weekend. We are having her party on Feb. 24th from 4:30-6:30....

Wrong again . . .

What can I say - I mean you would THINK we would have her party on her BD . . . two women to deal with, I am sooooo confused . . .:confused3

This was in an article today about Disney's stock performance:

Rasulo described the concepts as “blue sky” projects that may never be built. But he said the company is planning to add to its two cruise ships as soon as it can negotiate contracts with shipyards that provide the proper return on invested capital.

I had forgotten how much I paid for our DVC points so I called member accounting this morning... WOW... I know they say not to treat it as an actual investment, but I actually could make money at this! I didn't realize it was only $72 when we purchased.... (of course, those who bought OKW had the best deal, with the free passes and all -- that was before our time... I should have stopped at a kiosk when we were on our honeymoon, but we were newlywed and poor back then!).

When is DL in May??? I just booked Memorial Day weekend... no vacation days for DH means we only get to go on long weekends....

We will be there the week before Memorial Day, but we will probably still be in the area on that Saturday, driving home Sunday and Monday. We also will probably stop in your area for the night when we drive down the previous weekend. (Fri May 18/Sat May 19). We usually stop at Lodi for the night as we have friends there. Maybe a mini meet Friday night or Saturday morning!

:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: John1, there is no way you can keep up! Talk with DrHug, he just shows up when he's told. :rotfl2:

Thank you! That must have done the trick! I thought I turned the game around by leaving the living room and going upstairs, but Amy helped me out by dedicating herself to her family (and maybe the homeless, too) instead of dedicating herself to evil!

Brack, you made me tired just reading that! I hope you get a good rest at Grandma's!:goodvibes

Are you going on the EB Repo?? (please, please, please, please)

I am.... Back to work next week, oh where is that sad smile!! Oh well ....
I am pain free, in fact I sit and wait for the pain to come. It has been since April since I have not been in pain and I almost forgot what it felt like. I am afraid it won't last!!

John actually wants me to start working around the house, can you believe that???? I mean really... I know I have been doing nothing since..... Christmas but why start now????

Geez John!
Glad you are feeling better Amy!

We should be moved to Montana by then, but we may not be home in Montana when you are traveling. We may be motoring in our RV and we may follow you a ways. We will have an extra couple of beds in the RV!

:thumbsup2

:lmao: That girl! She does know how to work the men already! And speaking of her....DrHug go a couple of really great shots of her playing in the sand. Too, too sweet. He needs to get these put up on the site. He did get them dumped onto a disc last night, I will mail to Lisa Friday to upload for us. DIALUP!!

I am looking forward to seeing them!

(mental note: get my pictures up too!)

I can't believe I missed Caroline again - just like the old days I am not signing in late enough? :goodvibes

Oh cool beans today - my wait list for March came through. I saw the 407 number and thought for a second it might be a call from my DVC guide re AKL (twist my arm guy - I wish Byron would call). :sad2:

Hey girl!! Give me ring!:goodvibes
