I just had to get on and tell you all this story. Tonight we went to a party with friends. Many of you have heard of my friend who owns the kids dress store. Well, you are not going to believe this, but after thier last cruise, they brought thier head waiter home with them and he lives with them now. He is married with children and is from India. He has always wanted to come to America, so he hopes to get 2 jobs and make enough money to bring his family here. How many of you have ever considered letting your head waiter come live with you and your family?

Wow!!

Not that similar BUT, I grew up with my grandparents.....my Grandad was sent to South Africa and I, at 15 went with them for a year of schooling.
EVERYONE there had maids, gardeners, etc, they even still had fresh milk and oj delivered. My Grandparents brought the maid and gardner and their families to the states and helped them get settled and whatnot here.

Congrats on the new job V! Don't let them buy you to stay. They have had plenty of opportunities to acknowledge your worth. Also once they buy you to stay they typically feel they own you. How exciting to go onto a newer environment!

I am week + behind on the posts. I hope to catch up some time.I loved the photos of Walt sleeping. We've had many of those dinner moments on the cruise and out in general. I wonder whether she will still do it at 16?

hey there is some good eating in DC and plenty to see just by strolling around - don't spend all your time in your hotel.

who is at home taking care of Amy? tell her to check in so we can see if she is resting.

This is my fourth time here, and I will be strolling on the Mall on Tuesday afternoon. There are still a couple of Smithsonian museums, and if I can get to it, the Holocaust Museum. As far as eating out - not as much fun by yourself. I will be meeting up with others from Ohio starting tomorrow though.

Amy's mom (who lives near us) and sister (who came home for the weekend) are both around for her, but I think Amy will probably just enjoy some time to herself and rest without me, Sophia, or the dog around. I took her to the kennel this morning.

When I talk to her tonight (already have checked up on her about 5 times today, every time I reached somewhere), I will tell her to check in.

Hmmmmm . . . Kristina does not know me that well, would not be caught dead in one of those shirts . . .

Anyway, that explains what I saw on the way over here. It must have just broken up when I was on my way from the airport to the hotel on the metro. Lots of people with signs and placards. I saw them all over the place and just thought, well, it is DC.
