It wasn't at gty. I guess 8 was just a popular category. We booked 18 months ago and paid off about 9 months ago. I just hope they have us in one place now and that all our stuff will end up there. I am really a little nervous about it.

But the good news is. With all the Dis Geeks on board, if something is misdelivered it should find it's way back to me.

the only thing that might not be forwarded is a computer. if it is a pc and the mac people get it, it might go swimming. if it is a mac and the pc people get it, it might go swimming. you might want to hold onto a computer if you are taking one. I would hate for a perfectly good paper weight mac to go swimming.

is everyone bringing a thumb drive along to switch picture? we have an extra 1 gig but DH was wondering if SD or compact flash cards would be able to be used. I know the usb ports are more common but the cards actually travel better in our house. I think we are more nervous about losing them and have a special case. the thumb drives we carry around way too much and kind of mistreat them. in fact did you know you can wash and dry a thumb drive & it will still work. DH found that out

my boss decided he doesn't want to tell the employee that she is being let go until after the holidays. in some ways I am glad because she is my back up for a lot of things ....not that she does them correctly usually. I know I will come back to a mess. the office is closed for the following week so I figure I will catch up then

I'm glad the boss took the burden of deciding off your back. It will be easier to enjoy your trip. Good luck on the return mess.

sorry about earlier, I just figured you were there somewhere. you know, just trying to up the post count

Nah....I was actually working today. I woke up this morning with an overwhelming feeling of having NOTHING accomplished this week...I had 3 meetings today and felt like I got nothing done. Now I have to go in tomorrow and try to focus on 3 projects to get them a little further before I go.

We'll see.

I'm soooo tired.

andy & kristina, is devon packed? christa keeps changing her mind about what she wants to bring. I finally had to close her suitcase and say enough is enough. I think she will still try to sneak another pair of shoes on. it will be real interesting to see what she is packing in her carry on. she is not going to bring her hearing aides. I keep trying to convince her to bring them but she is terrified she will lose them. she doesn't seem to have trouble hearing the shows she just sometimes misses the conversation in big crowds.

have a safe trip and keep those kids warm and hopefully asleep. I am getting so excited. I don't know how I will sleep tomorrow or friday. I already don't sleep well in hotels. we also have started the rule that I sleep with DD and Dh sleeps with DS. I loved the days when they were young enough that they could sleep together. sometimes DS sleeps on a recliner. I am hoping that have that available at the hotel.

Just got home from Mom's funeral.

Just thought I would give us a quick bump up, and tell you all we can't wait to meet all of you.

Our flight leaves in about five hours, so last minute gathering and getting ready.

Well I have to admit that I made another Wal-Mart run after I swore the last one was it! And I ended up spending $96....how does that work?

Devon isn't packing....no no no. WE will be packing for her. She would bring outragiously inappropriate clothing, ripped, already worn...etc etc. We need to supervise her in this case.

I still need help with my packing! I'm signing off in a few and going to lay out all of my clothes I can so they can be packed tomorrow evening...

let see we are at 66200. if I post 400 times tomorrow and 400 times friday, I could get a 000 pirate. that would really be neat. I don't think we can get to 70,000 not with everyone leaving so soon. now if people would have delayed their travels until the very very last minute. maybe we could have made it.
