2.5 hours away i can make it...... :cool1: OBX is better than VB anyday..

Actually the part of the OBX that John is talking about is Pine Knoll Shores. Closer to a 4 hour drive for you.

V, the laptops don't come in pink, but the ipod nano does!

Well that's good news. Maybe I will go tomorrow while Dina is in school... :scratchin

Have you seen the ones with a side mount water tank?

I would resist against that. I do love my new iron though. It's very light, steams well and shuts off after 15 minutes.

I told hubby that we need to invest in all new small appliances that have automatic shut off.

That,s not the OBX.... (just looked on Mapquest). Though you were looking more up towards Hatteras or Ocracoke

:sad2: This would bother me to hear a kid say that but then I also recall so many stories DH told me about his friends... how they'd pour gasoline down ant holes and light them or other things that involved fire and blowing things up. Maybe it's more of just a boy thing than something sinister? :confused3

I felt like I had better be safe than sorry, so I just got of the phone with the person in charge of kids sunday school (hey Caroline, isn't that you?). Her son is also in my class and heard everything to. She was going to talk to him, but felt like it was a concern and she would take it up the chain. It has just been concerning me for 3 days. If this child ever said anything I could chalk it up to boys, but really he never talks.... Anyway, I feel better now.

The Docs are in my hands!!!! :cool1:
Yay Brandi! :cool1:

I guess I'll have to break down and call tomorrow if my docs aren't here yet. My TA quit the main office sometime in the 18 months since I first booked and my docs are probably laying around unattended to.

OY Andy . . .

IMHO 75% of the features on cameras are useless (or they may have a one time unique application, and you may never use it again).

Two suggestions . . .

Play with it, use all the stuff and see what you can do - you are smart enough and tech savvy to figure most of it out. After all, it takes no film to shoot away.

Do a google search for a camera forum about your camera.

You can already use it on auto, the basics you need is to understand aperture and shutter priority, the ISO speed you want to shoot at, and how to correctly use the flash and lighting.

The rest is for the most part, well, FLUFF.

Good luck - sorry I can't be more helpful, but I don't read the manuals much either, I have picked up my knowledge over the years and many cameras.

John is right. It takes experience to even understand the manuals, and I still have trouble. Manual is my favorite mode, but.....not if you don't know about apertures and f-stops. Sports mode will be handy when in bright sun on excursions, or on the Safari Ride, for animal shots. Allows a fast shutter speed to eliminate blurring as much as possible. There has to be bright light though.

For close up people pics use the portrait mode. That makes it pretty easy . Just read the Modes part of your manual and don't stress on the rest. That way you can click it to a mode and snap the 'shutter'. There should be an icon for each mode that represents the type of photo you want to make.

John, we could do a class on board. LOL. Maybe explain composition, etc. I need a review. My pictures suck lately. LOL!

I thought it was strange that the envelope was addressed to Aaron?? :confused3 But then we thought about it and Dennis and I booked with points and paid cash for Aaron, maybe that is why. :confused3

The hockey game was good tonight. The Hershey Bears played the Manitoba Moose. We lost in the last 7.5 seconds of the first overtime....ggrrrrr! There were several fights....always makes for a fun game!!!!

Not me Kim. The Sunday School President would be Brandi! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Oh I have to have that feature!!! When I was pregnant with DS and sewing the crib set DH was out of town on travel. I took a break but planned to go back to working on it. Evidently I had finished sewing because I turned off the machine. I ended up falling asleep for the night, got up, went to work, and came home for lunch. I found the iron plugged in & still on!!! :( :( :( Hormonal as it was, I freaked out. We were so lucky that nothing happened. :(
