Hi everyone! Hope you all had a good Thanksgiving! I can't believe we sail next weekend!! :cool1:

Sorry to hear the colds/flu are still making the rounds......we just got over it.

Good news:
Our docs are in!!

Not so great news:
I managed to scratch my left eye's cornea. Had an eyepatch on all weekend and may be forced to wear glasses on the cruise. :sad2:

Has anyone gotten upgrades yet?

Ouch! How'd that happen?

DD's Algebra teacher says he may not give her any homework over vacation because she is doing so well. She has a simple project for English due that week that she will get done before she leaves. A band paper done before and a science project before too. Looks like she won't be bogged down by much, if anything!!

My eye doctor prescribed a "torque" contact lens for my left eye (O-L-D eyes). The first few days were fine.....then by Thanksgiving Eve, my eye was bloodshot red and hurting. Apparently, the lens and my eye did not like each other. :sad2:

It has not been a fun weekend and total packing panic has officially set in.

:grouphug: I hope it heals quickly.

I didn't know a contact could do that to you. OUCH!

Mickey? Are you going to introduce yourself at the terminal? ::yes::

Not sure if everyone has already bought their school supplies for the Ruins tour but I read this over at a trip report thread-

Ivan was the tour guide for our bus ride to the ruins. He talked the whole way there about the culture, the ruins, and the effect of progress on his village. Speaking of his village, my family brought along a bag of supplies for the school in Ivan's village. Being a teacher, we brought pencils, erasers, and a big package of glue sticks. Ivan was so excited about the glue sticks. He said the kids LOVE them, and do not have regular access to them. They normally use "used" gum for glue. Resourceful yes, but glue sticks are much more fun.

I'm glad I bought a lot of glue. :thumbsup2
Cool!! I must have a glue stick fetish because I had a HUGE 24 pack and at least a dozen 2 packs when I reviewed school supplies in August. :confused3 I'll definitely bring some!!!

Neither did I! I've worn contacts since I was 13.....this is the first time I've had serious problems with a lens. Good timing, huh? :confused3
