I liked Hospital Pharmacy a lot more, but the schedules were crazy. No Disney Cruises if I did that. At least none at the time we like to go. I worked in Hospital Pharacy for 17 years. ICU, Oncolgy, Ortho, Trauma Center, etc. Inpatient Pharmacy and Cinical stuff. I miss it. Pediatrics got to me too much. I was also a Adjunct Professor for UOP for a year. I loved that. I had to stop when we moved to Orygun! Before Pharmacy I worked at Hughes Aircraft COmpany in the field of computer graphics. A pioneer of sorts. We had 128K memory in our Honeywell COmputer, and it was the largest in the company. We still punched cards when I started. LOL. We did circuit board and MOS CMOS etc, design. Angie worked down the hall, which was nice. I was in Pharmacy School then, and didn't see her much otherwise. I was also the P.M. and graveyard shifts supervisor. We worked on the boards and chips for the SubACS, AWACS, TOW, etc. systems, and when I left I was working on the Chips for the Multiple Warheads guidance systems. (SECRET). shhhhhh. Work and Pharmacy school full time. When I wanted to do the joint PharmD /PhD in Pharmacology program, the professor said no. I had enough of a workload he said. LOL. I must have been crazy.Argh! Angie has started slaving without me. I better go. It is miserable cloudy and rainy outside. This must be Oregon. Loading the dumpster is going to be such fun.

bye for now.....:sunny:

Can't help you on the sandals, but I do have at least one pack of swim diapers I can bring for you. I got them at the end of the summer in case we failed to PT Walt. But since we were successful, no need. They are a bigger size, but I don't think it really matters on that.

Thanks Marielle! I figure we will need to stop somewhere to pick up extra stuff anyway so we will just get some then. I hate for anyone to have to pack more than they need. I have a pack of 12 but I figure on our CC days alone she will probably use half of them. If nothing else they will have them on the ship but I just prefer not to pay those prices. :)

Childbirth sucks the brain cells right out of you! ;)

why is that? I can't remember a thing these days. that alert feeling just never returned after the long haze of twins. I keep putting things down and can't find them but I see hubby doing this too - LOL. Plus I know that I have read something or whatever and just can't bring it close it enough to the surface to get it out. I get very close and the last little bit I just can't grab onto. Luckily the kids are around to remind me of every little thing - and believe me they do. LOL.

Aaron worked as a pharmacy tech the 1st year we were married at an inpatient pharmacy at one of the local pharmacies since he could not find a job in chemistry right out of college. The worst part was that he worked evenings and I worked days so I was alone every evening and when he got home at midnight I needed to be asleep. We were newlyweds and I felt like I never got to see him.

Good advice. ALWAYS check before giving to kids. That goes for any drug, as far as I'm concerned. That's why I usually recommend the natural, true Ginger ales as first choice to try. Most kids can drink ginger ale, and they usually like it.

check with the MD first you mean?

so just carry ginger ale with us or order on the ship?

no bracelets, patches, holistic necessary?

Becka - it sounds like Nathan is just bored. We have been having this problem too since we are sorting toys, packing and not generally paying as much attention to them as usual.

I guess watching and aiming your urine stream - can I say that? is pretty fascinating. Gional just loves to go outside and spray - king of the hill.

maybe there is some neanderthal repressed gene they all have.

Amy - I did not get any response from either of the 2 Kindergarten teachers about my absence memo I sent in for the kids. I guess they were not too impressed when I said that we were visiting Mayan ruins - lol. I didn't say that 90% of the time we will be eating and swimming. LOL

I think you are right that sending in a note saying you will be gone is sufficient - they don't need to grant permission. DO most states have a mandatory number of days that you must attend - NY used to have this.

Time to head to our third meeting of the day. This one though is our brass band concert so it will be very entertaining. :moped:

Well I have been very lazy today. Not much done. Added a couple shirts and socks to the suitcase though. Exciting huh?
The house is still a disaster. I really don't even feel like having Thanksgiving here.

I need to buy a tape measure so I can order DH's tux. John is working and the girls are watching the Parent Trap. No football.......(yet)....

DH tonight ladies!

Hey V!

DD is still sleeping and I am getting pretty tired. I have packed quite a bit today although my list still seems to be dragging on. I really need to start packing for this next weekend but I can't seem to get too motivated right now.

I saw your pics in the DCL food porn thread!! I am getting hungry!

I was looking at that thread and figured I probably had a few pictures to share. I can't remember what anything was but I did have pics. :rotfl:

How do you guys keep your first night outfits from getting really wrinkled? I am going to send our other dinner stuff out to be pressed but there is not time that first night and I hate to have to iron. With the sailaway and early dinner seating three just is not really time.

You mean were not wearing our lime green T shirts to dinner the first night ? :confused3

Everyone is still doing the lime?

Not us. I figured it wouldn't be dressy enough :confused3 I was planning on black slacks and a light sweater for me. Dockers and polo shirt for DH. Black pants and blouse for DD. Khaki pants and shirt for DS.

I am wearing the lime shirt on Saturday. The whole family does not have the Disney lime shirts, though. I have some light green shirts from Michael's for the kids and if I have time & remember to get the iron-on paper, I'll add our logo.

But this is for arrival, not for dinner.

I'm not DrHug, but I know what he tells me to take. :teeth: I take meclizine each morning. It lasts 24 hours and by taking it when I first get up it cuts down on the drowziness (which it is not supposed to cause - BUT...). Kids cannot take this though. He also recommends ginger, which is what we will give Aaron for at least a day or so just to be sure.

Angie,

What kind of dosage are you giving Aaron. We would like to try this with DD because it is safer for them.

Thanks!

Kim

I have heard that too. My doctor has told me the kids can't take any medicine for seasickness so I hope they don't get sick. I did find some natural oil stuff at Wal-Mart that you are supposed to put a drop behind the ear for help with seasickness and if the kids get sick I will probably give it a try.

Has anyone else with little kids ever been given anything? :confused3

we got something in Hawaii that they gave us on a smaller boat. I looked at the packaging and gave DD 1/2 tablet per instructions and it worked great! But, for the life of me, I cannot remember what it was called. ARGGG!
