DS thinks he is a pretty big shot pin trader. I don't mind him trading most pins but he & I sit down and figure out which ones are keepers. we had to do that after he had a real bad run in with a guy in downtown disney. he tried to convince DS that he needed to trade everything on his lanyard for one pin.

Why would someone do that to a kid at Disneyworld?

What a JERK.

I'm not caught up yet but thought that I would fill you in on our day here. After Church DD kept begging DH to put the tree up. He took it out around 3. It gave him a bit of trouble so even though I swore it off, I ended up helping to get it set up then spread out the branches so that they could decorate it. I am staying away from that....without the meds I would be going . I am very picky about my tree. Before the kids it was gold, burgundy, and crystal. There were balls on all of the greens around the house too so it all matched. I even have pillows and curtains in Christmas fabric. The glass balls aren't spaced out so forget about spacing with each color. The kids are both very happy about it though so I will try very hard to leave it alone. I did draw the line with the fragile ornaments for the family. I will put them at the top some time this week.

You would die if you saw our tree. It probably looks like something Nathan and Allie put together themselves. We don't do any theme except for memories. I try to buy ornaments each year that reflect something special and/or new from that year. Then I also buy ornaments that reflect things the kids or we are interested in so we have a weird mismesh of ornaments. None of them are perfectly spaced or coordinated.

My parents did sort of the same thing and I loved to pull out old ornaments and remember the memories that went with them. Unfortunately for my parents final military move the box with our Christmas ornaments was lost. It was a terrible loss and while my parents had many Hallmark ornaments that were actually worth some $$ that the Army could pay to replace they could not pay to replace the glittered pine cone I made in 1st grade or the ornaments we always had bought for our pets. It has really brought me some comfort to do something similiar in our family and it makes decorating the tree so much fun.

When we were decorating yesterday I just about cried a few times remembering why we bought some ornaments and I think Nathan liked hearing about the ones that involved him. :) My tree may not look fantastic to any one else but we love it! :lovestruc

I don't think kids are prone to this as much as adults. Even with the 20+ foot swells on our first cruise neither one of them got sick and they have never taken anything.

That is what our doctor said but it still bothers me that I have nothing in case they are more prone than other kids.

Just a friendly PSA.....

Bigger isn't necessarily better. Now that the ailrines have been cracking down on the 50 Lb rule... When i use my largest suitcase, It's really tough keeping the weight under 50. I mean it fits so much....

This is why i think we might need 8 suitcases instead of 6....

That is why when we fly we never use the monster suitcase! One of the advantages of driving.... ;)

I have bought the kids ornaments each year as well. They fit in together since many are Disney themed. :) We switched from white lights to colored before getting this prelit one....big switch for me. :)

ok you guys who sent a virus to our house......

My tummy is not feeling well at all today.....

Adding this to the pain from my wrist issues i've been having and i think i'm dying...(or maybe just falling apart)

It hurts just to do the laundry but i can't let that stop. I need to get through it all before the cruise.

Maybe it's just stress.... (Maybe i shouldn't have stopped taking my happy pills)

You all need to keep your illness on the East Coast. I have too much to do the next few weeks to get sick! :sad2:

We had two fake trees when I was a kid. One was not touched & the other held all of our handmade things along with lots of store bought ones.

I was Just joking ... Kinda like the "Can you wear Jeans to dinner ???"

That is what I thought but the lack of smilies threw me for a loop! ;)

I have to say that is one of the few nice things about DH traveling so much. We get 3 suitcases each at 75 pounds each because of his frequent flier status. Of course DH needs back surgery after a trip like this....

I know what you mean Becka...but at least it is getting over with now.

I read that the group trying to make their online resies today couldn't do palo at all because of a major glitch. Thank goodness that didn't happen to us. :(

We have a real tree every year and while I LOVE LOVE multi colored lights, DH loves just white, so I put colored in all the garland and we compromise and get my kind of tree and his kind of lights.

John, my parents just chopped thiers down yesterday. Permit and everything! They love doing that. Then they plant 5 new ones every spring!

I found the last one on ebay and surprised him last xmas. he really was thrilled.

he will be bringing some pins to trade. hopefully he can meet up with you guys.

There are some nasty people out there who will do anything when it comes to pin trading. :sad2: DH has had a few run-ins with some of them and he usually can figure the good guys from the bad pretty quickly and tries not to deal with them.

Nathan loved pin trading on our last cruise and he has his lanyard ready to go. We just let him trade with CM's but I wouldn't have a problem with him trading with the others kids/adults in our group.

Trying now. Nothing happening at the Retrieve Reservation point.

Same result for me . . .

Maybe they are busy upgrading us, and trying to figure out how to do that and move us all to deck 6 at the same time?

Did you all get upgraded after your docs had been printed last time?
