Oh noooooo . . . another one. Amy can NEVER make up her mind on a menu. Call in, drive through, does not matter. I know before I call or pull up. Amy says wait a minute . . . . happens at restuarants too. They always ask her to order first, because she is the woman, and she always tells them to take my order first.

One of us will order and the other just says "I'll have that too." Our DGS laughs at us because 99% of the time we eat exactly the same thing.

So who can I meet on my way down. Unlesss the weather is REALLY nice, I won't be taking the ferry over to DE. In that case, I will go around and will hit Baltimore and everything else between that and Georgia on 95. Brack? Kristina?

I have to see how far I will be from Patsy!
Patsy is very close to Atlanta. (in case she does not get caught up)

Company is gone for the evening, except my mom who is staying here. 2 neices and their families will be back in the morning around 10, DrHug plans to do some portraits of their girls for them then they will head home around 1 so. I will need to take my mom to the Amtrak station in Portland around 1 also. Then we will be done with TG for another year.
My uncle and aunt left this morning, DrHug's nephew only got to come for the day yesterday. He drove all the way from Seattle yesterday morning and then had to drive back last night. It is about a 4 to 4 1/2 hr drive each way. He is young though and I guess we used to do trips like that.

I missed all that how Caroline was being naughty on the other board.

Giona's shoes fit but I hate them. DH bought them. He said if there is a formal night we should bring them - wow. Usually if it doesn't at least serve double duty I'm not allowed to pack it.

We took the kids to a Japanese steak house where they cook at your table - since we live in the boonies we don't have anything like that. I used to go to Benihana all the time in NYC but I had never seen the egg spinning trick.
then he tossed the egg in the air and cracked it with the spatula.

and no turkey - yummm I was stuffed.

The chef made a volcano out of onion circles - piled them up in descending size order - the he poured oil inside and lit it with a match - it flamed and smoked. Giona loved it - he wants to show all his friends. oooopss.

that kind of thing scares me. luckily we have no matches at home.

Jaea is still shy of fire after the microwave incident - she hid under the table for some of the meal.

We are on the beach at Va. Beach - their holiday lights show got washed out - not sure when it will be back.

yesterday we went to the Va. Air and Space museum. they have Polar Express 3D - I want to see that.

Today we are going to the aquarium.

Ken has a big gift cert. for Office Max. We don't have any of those so we may go shopping.. He bought the HP digital camera for the kids too - Caroline. It came overnight - we were excited.

:goofy: was missing though. :guilty:
We watched the MAcy's parade. It was still pretty good (of course I was cooking and cleaning while watcing.)

Elaine,
If you want to see holiday lights you can go to the botanical gardens in Norfolk or drive to Newport News and see them at Newport News park. That last Nor easter we had was bad so no lights at the beach. At least the weather is good now.

I keep thinking how we probably won't end up on the Repo cruise so I have to think of an alternative. We can't go next December though because Sarah would miss BOTH parades. I don't think her teacher likes her or me THAT much! :teeth:

Halloween cruise, it is the next best thing to the December cruise, honest!

Andy, how did you not reach 1000 today??? :confused3 You are so close! Did you challenge CJS to a race? :teeth:

Well, I thought I would hit it but wasn't awake enough to keep posting. I'll hit it, don't worry. :p

I don't think I'm racing CJS. Not sure where he is now on post count.

PJ - is Halloween the whole month of Oct. on the ship? or just Halloween week - we wouldn't want to miss Halloween at home but it sounds fun. I like Dec, warm weather though.

Chris in Va - thanks I did see that Norfolk has lights too. we are going tonite to an astronomy presentation at the Boatanical gardens so maybe we can combine.
