I have apple dumplings in the oven for DrHug. The kitchen was so inviting for cooking that I messed it up again! Still working on the laundry.

On my way! :moped:

I know what you mean about having the kids try things on... OY!

My DH was wrapping the gifts from the characters. I was making the cards for on each one. I just wrote To: then Love: and attached a sticker of who it is from...they can't read anyway. Jake can ID his name and Eliza's name...so he will know whose is whose and who sent it.

Cute idea Brandi. :thumbsup2

They have the silver glittery shoes for little girls at Target quite often... I'll look to see if they have them if you don't win.
Thanks. I will let you know Marielle.

I also love the ice cream scoop!!!!

I got the microwave cooking pot. I never used it. For me that is the only thing I never used.

Now that is my favorite item and the one I use the most. I have the small one and it is great for cooking the veggies. :thumbsup2

Why is so much tougher these days? I remember watching my nephews by myself overnight since I was 11 or 12 and they were babies. But I won't let my own 8 year old ride her bike around the block yet? :confused3 Why are we so much more cautious, or paranoid, today? I ask myself this all the time...
I refuse to be as strict as my mother.

I love her dearly but she stifled me. I was a good kid. My parents were always always always worried something would happen. There is such a thing as being over protective. My parents were that.

My inlaws were the extreme opposite. Jason and I want to try hard to find the balance in the middle.

I would lie to my parents over really stupid stuff because they were so strict. I didn't want to lie, but they needed to know EVERYTHING. I had no privacy.

I am sure you realize that Jason and I are strict with our kids. But we leave lots of room for self expression.

I know it isn't easy raising an older kid. I just hope I can find that middle ground.

I have the small one too. Maybe I just don't know how to use it. Do you just stick in your veggies and add water and cook? Does it steam or boil them?

Angie, I am getting the apple peeler/corer/slicer. Should I get the stand?

I'm also getting the pitcher, cutting board, cookie, press, roasting pan, mixing bowls, etc. I am getting the knofe honing tool to sharpen the crappy ones I already have. :rotfl:

Joy, if you come on, what are the stone specials in February?

I am spoiling my kids this Christmas. My DS wants 5 different engines (for Thomas). I already have 4 of them. I got one at AC moore for 50 percent off of one item. The other 3 I won on ebay. Now I am bidding on Spencer.

I don't know. It just cooks them. :lmao:

HAve a good night Caroline. I must get to bed. My DKids will have me up before I am ready tomorrow. :wave2:

My favorite Goo Goo Dolls song came onto my ipod. I must listen before I go to bed.
