Unfortunately even we dyed in the wool (light blue dye) Tarheels realize this as well. The only good thing about the Tarheel football games are the before and after parties.

:grouphug: Glad you knew that I was only teasing with you guys. :) There are some around here however who would get a much different feeling behind the statement. :rolleyes1

shhhh....pulling another brandi....

..... the familiy we are traveling with just asked me if DCL is strict with the kids ages on excursions. We never did an excursion with DCL where we had to worry about the ages. Either our kids were old enough or we did stuff on our own. I would expect the ages to be pretty strict, meaning a 4 1/2 YO couldn't do an excursion for 5 and above. Anyone have direct experience?

No they are very strict about the age limits. They have seen the BCs too so there is no getting around it.

I can't believe that I am already caught up! Everyone must be watching Lost? Laundry is going. Bed soon.

We have returned from Cheetah Land . . .

Here is Sophia ready to go to the concert . . .

At the concert with the infamous Cheetah Girl Glow stick - retail $5

As we were walking in to the concert, I noticed NO MEN whatsoever walking in . . . as I said "looks like no dads here hun" and the women all around burst out in giggles . . .

John1

Ticket to Cheetah Girl Concert $38.50
Cheetah Girl T-Shirt $20.00
Cheetah Girl Glow Stick $5.00
10,000 high pitch screaming Cheetah Girl fans and the grin on daughter's face - priceless

John1

I have to say that the screaming was the worst part . . . I have never heard such a high-pitched, piercing, screaming racket in my life. I will also note that there were probably about 100 men there out of 10,000 people, and there were absolutely NO boys there - all 5-12 year old girls. Mostly with moms.

I believe I should get some kind of medal for this.

Overall though, it was fun, and the kids seemed to have a great time. The dancing was pretty incredible. Some girl named Jordan opened the show, and Ashley Hutchinson from HS musical was a follow up open. They were both very good.

No. But I don't think there are earbuds made that can block out that preteen squeal and screech around you.

Exactly Marielle.

OY.

For Brack, April and other interested fans:
Looks like Butch Davis will be the new football coach for the Tar Heels. Online sites and at least one newspaper are reporting that the contract is signed; they just haven't made the official announcement.

You better hope he is still a better college coach than a pro coach. He made some AWFUL decisions as coach of the Browns.

OK....thought you people would enjoy these. They are spoof movie trailers for movies, changing the theme to something unexpected. Some are combinations of two movies...For example, The Shining turned into a comedy...

Enjoy...

I'm not talking about the summer jobs. They actually pay less. Most who come here try for the Wawa and supermarket jobs first.
I've seen you mention this a couple of times. What is Wawa?? :confused3

I found out what the preschool drama was. There is a mom who is a bit, shall we say, overprotective. I am sure there is reason so I don't want to judge. The kids were taking a field trip to Acme today and the mom (yesterday) was saying her DD is scared of stores. OK? :confused3 One of the teachers was telling her about what they would be doing, kinda trying to show her it is fun. (the mom also says DD has issues at school, but the teachers don't see it) One of the things she mentioned was that they explain where things come from. Ya know, milk from a cow, eggs from a chiicken, potatoes from the ground. She then started to tell her about the kids usual favorite part: going in with the butcher where they would learn that the chicken nuggets they eat comes from a chicken and not McDonalds and such. Well this mom was horrified and said "But they are just babies!!" OK? I guess she continued with this until the teacher finally said "No, they are not babies!" I heard the mom talking about it a bit after school yesterday and it sounds like she may not be coming back.

FYI the kids had a great time today at Acme today and they loved the butcher. The little girl wasn't there.

Sad for the little munchkin. :sad2:

I can help here. It's a convenience store chain that started in the Philadelphia area (actually think it was a dairy business first). Known in this area for the hoagies (subs in other parts of the world) and coffee.

Well - I'll admit that one of the reasons I've been so busy is that this is our family Birthday month.

DH was on Monday.
DS is next Wed.
Mine...well it is coming up too.

DS will be having a few  boys over for a sleepover next week.

Can you guys believe I've never done a sleepover for my kids (other than family and the children of drunk friends who decided to spend the night)

Any suggestions?
Well, they are too young to get them drunk so that is out. :teeth:

I've done it with the girls, but with boys??? :confused3
Oh yes, boys like to have their buddies over too. Pizza, video games, a bit of rough housing, movies, popcorn, oh and more pizza. :cool1:

OH a pirate: too! :dance3: :yay:

Bedtime guys.

Have Cheetahlicous Dreams . . .
