That is a tough situation. Best wishes. My DH and I both grew up in our church. When I saw how things were going with our SS I was ready to look for a different church. My friend and I both said that we can help make a change for the better. Why leave the church we love when we can help to fix the problems. Your issue seems really huge...but try to help if you can.Jhalkias said:Hey,
Rub some of that luck off on the rest of us!
BTW . . . that other President must have some serious problems . . . she must have really needed the attention to make a scene like that in front of the whole church.
We have not been to church in a while. I am in a quandry. Politics there forced our current priest out, and we get a letter from the Parish council that they will NOT talk about it, or confirm or deny any rumors - they want the wounds to heal they say. Well, my experience is that wounds do not heal when the truth is not told.
I am really upset about this, and am thinking about switching parishes, but this is the church I grew up in . . . Our priest was not a perfect man (Only one was ever born) but there were a lot of people who do not forgive even a priest. I HATE politics (not the Sunday School President type - but the backstabbing type) in a church. I just want to go there to worship - not to get embroiled in controversy and gossip!
