DrHug and I need to do this too. I reminded him today and he said he will try his suit on the day before we leave. We can then run out at the last minute and buy one if it does not fit. :confused3 Pathetic.

I wouldn't wait that long - emphasize the shopping for the holidays and the need for alterations. I just bought Giona 2 suits and have to send them out for waist and length adjustments. Ends up costing as much as the suit - but he looks pretty handsome - he cleans up good.

Don't know if Burlington Coat factory is just an east coast thing but I bought his suits there - about 25. and I can return whatever doesn't fit.

Had our last game today. We only had 6 girls show and the other team had 9. They gave us one and I played outfield, but didn't get to bat. I did catch a fly ball though. :rotfl:

that must have gotten the old -ooops young adrenaline flowing!!!!

We were rained out for soccer - wet fields. It was really windy. I was sort of glad - last game next week and pizza party.

Anyone have any suggestions for an end of season little gift for the team - I got them those "Awesome" ribbons from the dollar store. ???

I just wanted to say thanks so much to everyone for posting all those beautiful pictures of their kids this weekend. It makes it so much easier to get to know who YOU are by seeing your children.

Becka - great candid family shots. Nathan looks like so cute with those great pumpkins.

Marielle - the kids and the costumes are both too cute. I think Capt. Feathersword will be giving Jake a run for his money - Dina watch out.

V - just love those princess jumpers on your 2 girls. Are they an Ebay find?
Do the girls look like your husband? Love all the pics of them together - great memories for them both.

Lisa - thanks for sharing the pics of DD's author ceremony. What a special surprise for DH!!!

One more story from the Halloween party tonight. We decided to leave while the party was still happening (long day, DD13 was really tired, etc). Had to pull Walt off the dance floor. Got his tears calmed down. Then he said, "But I have to DANCE, Mommy!" Carried him away and he looked back at the dance floor and said, "Please, go back that way!"
So, I'm looking for a volunteer on the cruise who wants to stay on the dance floor all night with a 3-year-old...

I don't think any of the kids will be leaving the dance floor - he will have plenty of dancing companions.

BTW for those of you wondering this weekend has completely thrown off my calculations about the # of posts we will eventually hit. If things continue at this rate we probably will not even hit 60k. In fact this weekend will probably be enough to ensure that we do not hit 70k before the cruise.
I will try harder...I promise!

I am sensing Becka may be a little "dis"apointed in us today. Sorry Becka. I am blaming the TY thread... I think everyone is over there. Actually, maybe that is the suprise. They are slowing our thread down on purpose. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
I still need to check that out. Will someone post a link?

we went to DD's Parent Teacher Conference and COOL THING!!! I found out why her K teacher wanted her to have this teacher. She hates the diebels standardized test and refuses to teach to the test. She says it is more important that the learn to love to read than to read nonsense words quickly. OOOH I like her so much!!!!
Our school also tests with diebels. Our teachers all think it is a joke! There is not one of them that teaches to it. They are forced to test with it but they teach to read the same way, by helping give the students a love of reading. Actually, most teachers call it "dribbles" it is such a useless test!

Kim - I am not disappointed in anyone. We all just had a bit of a life this weekend. That is probably a good thing. :thumbsup2

I know some people were asking about the projections and I was giving my opinion. It has been oddly strange around here the last 72 hours or so. :confused3 It is just a little oddly unsettling.... ;)
Becka - I love your new pic of Nathan in your siggie. He is such a cutie!

While I do believe it would be amusing to see a man running down to the beach in a big banana suit, I must admit that I need to draw the line somewhere. I may not have much need for dignity, but, that suit would probably be too hot, and impair my blazing speed running down to the family beach.

When I read "blazing speed running" I thought you were going to wear a red speedo!!! I thought....ah no ah no!!! I do not want to see running men in speedo's!!!! Then I realized you would be running fast!

soccer is finally over :cheer2: :cheer2: DS's team won the "President's Cup". they defeated a 1st place team. it went into 2 ten minute overtime quarters tied at 1. we scored in the 1st OT and held them throughout the rest. the kids were so excited. the parent's from the other team were so harsh to their kids. they have been together for a long time while we are a new team this year. they kept telling their kids that they weren't playing hard enough and needed to pick up the pace of the game. on kid fell down three times during the game. he had been on my DH's team for several years and was always falling down crying. he went down during the OT & all his father said was "get up & get off the field now!!!" I'm afraid that his evening will not be very good. there was also a mother standing behind me who had the worst voice I have ever heard. she kept screaming and it sounded like someone was runnign their finger nails over the chalkboard.
Horray for your team!!!! :cheer2: It is a shame the way some parents act at games....I would love to kick them in the butt!!!!
