I must confess that I have a slight obsession with VH1 shows. Surreal Life, Celebrity Fit Club, RW vs RR, etc. Heck even the Brady one! I especially like the ones on the 80s and have been watching the top 100 80s songs countdown. Love, love, LOVE it!!

There is also a new one on called Celebrity Paranormal Project. 5 celebs are left in a "haunted" place and have to investigate rooms. Pretty cool and funny.

no way, no how can I confess anything on a message board. Will leave all that to you bad girl and boy imaginations. Look up the Florida Field "F" and the virgin brick falling from Century Tower.

Joy, that sucks. What more can one say. I hope something shows you the best way for your beloved pet and the family members who care for him/her.

I was looking at our local paper tonight, which is published twice a week whether there is news or not...and oh my goodness! I cannot believe this is happening in our small town!! Headline (although it was on page 8) "MATH NIGHT: PROMOTING FAMILY FUN" FAMILY MATH NIGHT SET FOR NOV 13 AT MOUNTAIN VIEW MIDDLE SCHOOL. :scared1: :scared1:  Family fun??? They call this family fun?? :confused3 :sad2: ;)

Joy, my thoughts are with you. Dealing with illness and decisions about when enough is enough for a pet you love is so difficult. :grouphug:

But then I won't be meeting crazy people from the internet; I'll be meeting friends I know from the cruise!
Good thinking Marielle

Good Morning!

Happy Thirsty Thursday!

And Vanessa, if Amy did not already answer your post about the kids - I will when I have time - (not caught up).

Bottom line - you and John are great parents, quit worrying, save that for when they ARE teenagers (and I bet all that you will be worried about is all the boys that will be chasing them).

oh my.....my bad weeks seem to just keep rolling. I think I am having the turn 32 pre mid life crisis. These girls....I cannot begin to imagine age 16. Somewhere along this motherhood journey, I am just not V anymore. And selfishly I know, but I hate that. Alot. I know we are AWFUL parents. We are pretty go with the flow and I am a spoiler, so I have created these monsters myself. I just want everything for them to be so much better than it was for me. Is there a way to incorporate that without creating brats?

Then today. The school schedules conferences...so far they have always said no need - they go over the children's skills and where they are lacking. But Haley's teacher is concerned by her speech - well, lack thereof. (her ped is NOT, he wrote down all the words she said in his office and said she was fine)....now I know this is MY FAULT. I let her have a binky....we're lazy I know. And Samantha speaks for her and above all. I can tell what she wants/needs by her looks and actions and I try to anticipate that. But I guess now I won't. All this goes in their school record so I feel my not even 2 year old is being judged.....and I know they have to evaulate....but gosh. I feel like such a failure. And I know without a doubt she is the absolute favorite at school. This child gets SO much attention I am embarrassed (well, sometimes) the teachers from the other class come and visit her. Everyone HOLDS her all day long and even the kids in Samantha's class all scream "Haley" when we come in. And above all she is the teeniest one there....but they all tell me, she has no issues holding her own and that no one....boy or girl takes anything away from her.

and to be honest. I don't want to rush her through anything. With Samantha I was there, with a notepad waiting, wishing, willing her to do something great.....I'm sorry. I guess they should require testing before you become a parent. Johnny and I probably shouldn't be parents.
:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: Don't think like that! We all have days where we are going crazy. I am sure today will be a better day! :grouphug: :grouphug:

Our school district does this in the elementary and middle school at least once a year (maybe high school too; don't have one there yet!). We attended once (hey, I was a PTO officer; had to set a good example.) It was as awful as it sounds. Now DD comes home with the announcement and says "I'm putting the math night flyer right in the recycling bin, OK?"

I must get my children ready for the day. I have to drop Eliza off at my DMom's house then drop Jake at Preschool. I then have an appointment with a surgeon. I have been having issues ever since Eliza was born. I am terrified...but I know this is only a consultation. Then I have to go to the school and drop off some paperwork and turn in my notice that I will indeed be starting back on Jan 2. Fun stuff. Wish me luck...I may need it!
