12/04/08 3 night on the wonder: My Wedding Cruise!

Half of our group will disembark, while DH & I stay onboard to enjoy the ship on our too short journey.

Here's hoping my group gets there - my parents, sister and son are scheduled to take the Autotrain down on the day after Thanksgiving. We just found out it was cancelled for at least yesterday and today so that they can repair cracks in the auto carriers :scared1: ! We're ALL supposed to take it home after the cruise we're keeping our fingers crossed that they get it fixed ASAP!:scared:

Has anyone heard about the recent cold weather they've been having down in Orlando this past week? Hopefully the cold front will move out of there by the end of the month. Otherwise, I'll have some REPACKING to do!:headache:

You and me both!! I was in Disney same time last year, and there were some cool days, but nothing like the cool weather they're having now. Things can change in 2 weeks (keeping fingers and toes crossed for warm weather :goodvibes )

It's scary:scared1:

Hoping it warms up nicely soon.:wizard:

According to Weather.com, the temps in Orlando are supposed to go back up to the mid 70's next week...hopefully that forecast is right AND the temp stays there for two weeks!

That's good news!! It's alittle too chilly here in SC!!! This will be my 3rd cruise this same time of the year and it's been perfect each time...so, my fingers are crossed that my luck will continue!!:goodvibes

I have not looked in to the weather yet--I just started pulling out the kids clothes--mostly shorts and t's for Disney, but pants etc for the cruise at night...will we be wearing pants more than shorts??

We leave next Friday for a few days at Disney before the cruise...

I remember going on a spur of the moment trip over MLK weekend when our son was little...I have pictures of him in a fleece snuggly and a winter hat (he was about 6 mo old)...so I have been down there when it was chilly!!!!

We're staying onboard! It's all about The Wonder on our Nassau day!:cool1:

I am sure we'll see you there! ;)
DH is content to stay on the ship, as is DS4...I told him there were different things going on at the 'club'--he is thinking this is like 'school' which he absolutely loves--he asked me what he was going to do because he can't go to school and to disney at the same time..."and I really want to do both Mommy..." :lovestruc He is such a love...
Lesson #1--Disney first...:rotfl: His teacher is a Disney nut too so no worries there--he is in Pre-k. Not really worried about that!
After this vacation, I might be returning to work:headache: after almost a year home with my younger son, so I will be enjoying myself...:drinking1 popcorn::

My sister is making my fish extender right now as I type. We are leaving in EIGHT days, (going to WDW first) nothing like waiting till the last minute! :sad2: I bought the fabric a year ago and asked her then if she would make it for me. That's my family...they like to procrastinate, I guess! I don't care, as long as it's done by this Sunday so she can give it to me at my nephews b-day party. I certainly don't want to wait until Thanksgiving! I'll be all packed by then!

I've had a productive day! :goodvibes Feels good to know I'm close to packing up the boxes of FE loot!! I'm using a Xmas stocking for a FE....I bought it at Target..and added my own personal touch..I think it turned out ..."Wonder"ful! I got my dd9 to help me today with yet another FE idea I came up with (as if I don't have enough to do)..she didn't realized what we were doing...still has no idea about the trip...... Since I will be celebrating my dd 13th bday on board...I thought we needed a bday announcement..and I made that today as well..real pleased with how that turned out.....and her friend that's sailing too..just turned 13..so, I made one for her too.....My nephew who's bday is mid Dec...well, he needs one too...that one is in the works...and finally, I created a special final evening dinner at Palo invite...:cool1: I want all those extras done this weekend..FINISHED....because...I STILL have to sit at the sewing machine Monday and start putting together dd's Ariel jumper..and with only 2 days of school for the kids next week..that doesn't give me much alone time........ I think my 9 yrs will find out Thanksgiving Day...they are sure too...we'll be eating with my nephew who is sure to let on that he and his Mom are going on a Disney cruise with us?:confused3 If that happens that's OK...BUT, I would LOVE for them to "Wonder" why we have 2 extra people in the car when we head out of town towards our Cruise? :teacher:

 :cool1: :cheer2: :yay: :wizard:  :cool1: :cheer2: :scared:

Sounds like everyone is busy getting ready. I started pulling out clothes, taking out the suitcases, and making my "to do/don't forget" list. I finished sewing my FE last week. I like the stocking idea...I wish I would have thought of that!! :thumbsup2

I have all my FE gifts, I just need to put it all together. Hope everyone has a great weekend. 11 more sleeps for us until we leave. :mickeyjum

7 more for us too......:)

I was awake in the early hours of this morning, I am too excited.

7 more sleeps for us!
And believe me, it's getting harder and harder each night - just like the commercial says..."I'm too excited to sleep!":hyper:

Oh, I can't wait! Just 4 more sleeps for us until we leave! The autotrain is running, so my parents/son will get there safely; DH and I have a room booked in GA for Friday night, to ensure that he doesn't force me to drive from NJ to Orlando in one straight shot; stockings for fish extenders are purchased - things are coming together. Now I just need to finish up laundry, clean my house and pack...:rolleyes1

Hi everyone,

I have been away for work alot lately and could not check the messages. Seems like everyone is getting excited!!! we are too.

This is going to be great. We have been fish extender shopping for the past 2 weeks. The kids are excited about castaway cay...especially the 13 and 16 year old who will get to explore a bit.

Alyssa (9) can't wait for the character dinners and going to the Cinderella's castle again.

Hopefully we will get a chance to meet some of you.

Cheers

Hi everyone! I wanted to let you all know, we are leaving EARLY Thursday morning from WDW to get to the DCL terminal right at 10:00 - 10:30. I am going to try to snag a spot in the back right hand corner to hang out in, but I'm not sure if that's where we'll end up or not. I'll have a green sign in the shape of a Mickey head that says "DIS MEET" on it. That way, anyone who wanted to meet up before boarding the ship, you'll be able to find me. We plan on boarding as soon as they start the boarding process, so if you arrive at the terminal after they start boarding, hopefully we'll get to meet up on the ship!

Hi Debbie.

We too are aiming to leave early from AKV to get to the DCL around the same time as you. We did this last year and it worked great.
Hopefully will see your Mickey head :)

That's what we did a few years ago and it was great. We were on a 7 night cruise that time...I wish this was a 7 night cruise, also! Hopefully you will see my Mickey head...it's kind of lopsided, but not too bad. :rotfl:

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!!

ONE WEEK FROM TODAY WE'LL ALL BE BOARDING ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL AND FUN SHIPS IN THE OCEAN!!!
