11th Annual DVC Holiday Tree Exchange **See you in July 2014 for sign ups!**

Please count us in for next year (actually this year, 2014!) too - hopefully either VWL or BCV. I would like to donate a tree too, so if you could let me know the specifics on size, etc, I can start to pull things together now :)

So excited!

Count me in for next year. I enjoyed coordinating and now have a tree to donate as well.

Yay! Thank you!

Thank you! Here is some general info about the donated trees, courtesy of MrShiny:

The tree should be decorated, 2-1/2 to 3 feet (no bigger than 4 feet, please).

You'll send it to the resort to the attention of the first person and then it will be passed to other members and shipped back to you.

You should include some ornaments, lights, extension cord(s), a list of families (in addition to the one on the box), an envelope for shipping money donations, tape and a marker. Optionally you can include gifts for each family and a return shipping label (prepaid if you can).

They do not have to be, but sometimes the trees are themed to the resort - "beachy" for BCV, "tropical" for OKW, etc. Some people get really creative, as that is their thing. However, all tree donations are greatly appreciated, so don't worry if that isn't your thing!

I too had a good time coordinating the wayward BWV tree and it safely arrived back in CT this week. I plan on donating it again next year, and am willing to coordinate again. Don't know where we personally will be staying as we were lucky to use our SSR points at a BWV studio this year and had an outstanding view of the Village green. We put the tree on one of the waste baskets wrapped in a towel in front of the balcony window, so hopefully others could enjoy it as well.

I'm thinking of adding a memory book too, so families can record any special thoughts of their holiday visits. :santa:

Yay! Thank you!

The memory book sounds like a nice idea.
