This is our first trip to WDW. From the comments on this board, I decided to go with Happy Limo. I booked a round trip towncar from MCO to All-Stars Movies. I spoke with a very nice customer service associate who stated that the car cost would be $110.00 including airport tax and tip.

This must be some great service for $110.00 but I think it is better than going with Mears! I must be feeling cheap this morning! Well I feel bless just to be able to afford to go to Disney! :sunny: ::MinnieMo

That seems pretty steep. I know that Cartier and Tiffany both run around $80/RT.

I know when I asked them for a quote, they said there was an airport surcharge of $7. It only seems to be a couple of dollars more than some of the other towncar companies... I usually tip at least $10 each way, so at $80 R/T, the total would still come up to $100.

Tiffany would cost you $80 round trip. Thats with the $5 off coupon, not including tip. There are no other fees added. I have used them many times and think they are great.

No matter which company you use make sure they have your reservation right. Call to confirm one week away, and again the day before you travel. When you arrive go over the reservation again with the driver making sure again that it is right.

That sounds about right if you tip 20% but figuring in the grocery stop (which can save lots of breakfast, snack and beverage $$) and the hassle factor IMHO its very much worth it I think personally I come out ahead.

If you have ever waited in line to pay for the r/t voucher, waited for the "cattle call" boarded the bus, visited 2-6 other resorts and then arrived YKWIM.

FL tours and TTC work out a bit less than the 110 you quoted depending on your resort. FWIW some (including dh) have had success getting the "surcharge" refunded by the resort. The CR gave us the 7.00 back on our hotel folio after we explained the town car company charged us, ymmv.

I tip the driver a bit over the 20% (average on the total r/t) or about 10.00 on the way to the resort as a result of the grocery stop. If the return driver is on time and helps with baggage they get the oither half of the 20% tip on the total as well. I travel alone with my dd's under 10 so I love the service and convenience of a town car.

The first trip I made the mistake of tipping the entire 20% to the first driver and ended up with a different driver on the return. The return driver unfortunately didn't do as well (just because I needed to hold on to my cash) unfortunately but I won't make that mistake again. I did e-mail the company to explain and encourage the first driver to drop a buck or two to the second - who knows though?

Their web site for the trip quotes $80 - the same as most of the other companies. With tip, you can expect to pay $110, but she shouldn't be quoting the tip in with the price - unless HL has started just adding the tip into the price and not expecting you to tip.

Its $85 to the MK, because of the $5 MK resort surcharge (NOT the airport fee), that is what you may be able to get Disney to refund, but not if you are staying at the All-Stars because you won't pay it out there.

I got a quote of $90 including tip and airport fee using the discount code for happy limo up on the mousesavers website.

Note: happy limo includes tip in the their quote bc they take around $10 each way automatically.

Isn't a tip given based on the level of service? A $10 tip each way is the standard tip but what if you have a terrible experience with a driver.

Shouldn't the tip amount be up to the customer not the company?

"Isn't a tip given based on the level of service"

My thought exactly!!!! A tip automatically included in the price isn't a tip, it the price they charge. I will not use a company that includes the tip in the total charge.
