11 years on 11/11/11? That's right! You know where we'll be! 3/31 Day 5 Plans!

Hello!! :banana:Time for an update. I have been off in neverneverland with the whirl of activity in planning the 5K/F&W weekend.:cloud9:

Day 4 is going to be a Magic Kingdom kind of day! My wonderful friend, Nickie:hug:, turned me on to pre park opening reservations at Crystal Palace. I tell you..walking down Main Street USA virtually alone is such an awesome feeling. It gives you a chance to take a DEEP breath and think "I am HERE! :wizard:" without the crowds and rush rush and craziness that sometimes goes along with a Disney vacation.

Now-the boys are a bit  about the Pooh and friends characters at CP, but TOO BAD, SO SAD:laughing: I am going to cling to their little boyness as long as I can. (Plus...HELLO, Puffed French Toast!:thumbsup2)

We will do the "biggies" and collect some fastpasses for later and head back to the resort after lunch.

When we were on our Disneymoon, Greg did the

and LOVED it. We have talked about getting this for his dad for Father's Day, and Greg said  "If he's doing it, then I may as well do it again, too!" So, that is what the plan is for the guys.
I think I (and anyone else who cares to join me!) will jump on the lovely boat to DTD for a while. I am planning a light supper, as we have high calorie plans for later ::yes:: Every trip, I have grand plans of going to

but have yet to make it there. I am hoping to try it this time!

This evening, the plan is for everyone to go to the Fireworks Dessert Party. (Fingers crossed that they continue to have it!) You can see by the picture of my dad and Alex and Evan how good the desserts are!

After that...nighty night!!

Our plans for F&W/5K weekend

I'm here...getting ready to leave work, but will read and catch up when home. :goodvibes

These are our plans for the F&W/5K weekend at our group PTR (http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2673684)

Friday-We are hoping for an early flight out of Minneapolis and arrive at MCO before noon.

We will take ME to AKV, or maybe POR for a pre race packet pickup cocktail*.

We are planning on going to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party on friday evening. Will Lisa and I dress up?? Tweedledee and Tweedledum perhaps? Any other suggestions?

Saturday-Early up for the 5K (Hooray!!! What is our team name, anyway??) We will rock the race, and head back to AKV for some quality hot tub time with our peeps. Mimosas* anyone? We are still working on getting Connie to pop over for this after her CP breakfast! C'mon...you know you want to

Epcot Food and Wine is the plan for today. Maybe some afternoon chilling at the resort or downtown Disney. Back to Epcot to cheer at the finish line and party into the night*!

Sunday-Relax until it is time to head back to MCO

I am pretty sure that we are going to do the QSDP, so we can have those extra snack credits for F&W. I am going to make some ADR's, just in case we decide to go with DDP, though. Maybe a LeCellier lunch to share and Boma for breakfast on Sunday?

The idea, when I booked this weekend, was to make it very economical because we have our big trip about a month after. That is why we are doing MNSSHP on Friday night and a one day ticket for Epcot on Saturday!

Day 5 plans! AK

Okay, Jill. I am FINALLY all caught up.

First, your boys are adorable! :goodvibes I love that you are celebrating with the family for your anniversary.

Congratulations on your DVC!

On your arrival day, I think CM's at 4:30 or so would work. But instead of wasting a ticket at the MK that day since you'll be up so early and surely tired, why not just go to the Poly beach and watch Wishes?

Phooey on those who don't want matching t-shirts. We've done this a number of times--with our boys when they were younger and just DH and I (and we did it with our friends when they came with us for our 25th anniversary).

For the adult gift bags (if you aren't done), how about Lanyards?

:love::love: Crystal Palace and getting into the MK early.

Thanks Kathy! Love my boys:love:They are ALL boy, ALL the time:rotfl: I am glad the fam is all coming, too. I think it will be good-I am very aware, these days, of how quickly time is passing.

That is a good thought about arrival day..I will have to ponder that!

Yeah-you should have seen the reaction when I brought up the matching T-shirts at the last family gathering. I was shot down so fast (except by my mom who was like :lovestruc) To be fair, when these shirts came from the Disney Store

I showed them to Greg and told him that they were the shirts he and I were wearing on our anniversay. He looked resigned.... Until I told him they were ladies shirts and not really for him. Then he was relieved.:lmao:

Lanyards are a great idea. I am excited about our F&W/5K weekend so I can pick up fun stuff like that!:thumbsup2

Thanks for reading, Kathy!!

My pleasure...I'm just sorry I'm so late (hard to keep up with keeping the CSR thread going, my own PTR, "our" combined PTR and then all of the threads I'm subscribed to. But I'm caught up on all of them now, so I should be okay.

I thought the lanyards might work well (oh, and I love the hats!).

I can't wait to meet you, too! (Mary is also staying at AKV in Sept. and is a party to our crazy group PTR)

Have a great time in 1 day!!:dance3:

OK! I don't want you over here talking to yourself or just one person ....
really, sorry haven't been much in the mood for Disney; I know, I know impossible right :confused3
I think I have a serious case of Disney blues being last year and the year before we were getting ready to leave.

you plans for Day 4 sound great! I can't wait to get the magic of an empty park feeling....
and your 5K plans sounds great as well! I like your idea of DDQS, I bet eating and sampling the different food choices at the F&W will be more than enough for you two ladies and lost of fun

Oh Connie-I was just being a pouty pants!
Maybe after the cruise is done, you will be in a :wizard: state of mind! But you ARE going to have an awesome cruise!!

Thanks for keeping me company:hug:

Good Morning! Good Morning! It's such a beautiful morning! La La LAAAAAA!!!:cloud9:

The plan for Day 5 is this lovely place

Animal Kingdom
DSCF6764.jpg

We will start out with an early morning breakfast at Tusker House. Animal Kingdom is another lovely park to have a pre opening ADR at. There's is just a quiet, natural feeling in the air there.

This will be our 3rd time at Tusker House. The first time we went, Alex was so excited to meet Donald that he fell off his chair and cracked his head. You can see some residual tears in this picture, but he was trying hard to be brave!

Today is the day that the majority of our guests will be leaving. My sister and her family will be staying one more night. My hope and plan is to change resorts today and get a room at

boardwalk-villas.jpg

I can call on April 13 to see if we can switch. I am keeping my fingers crossed, since F&W will be over! Anywhooo...I am really looking forward to this part of our trip because Greg, the boys, and I have never been to WDW on our own-so this will be a great time.

I have not made a decision on supper yet..I am waiting to see if we get to move to BWV. If we do move, I am thinking we may try Big River Grille..has anyone been there and have an opinion??

That's all for now, friends!!:thumbsup2

I nabbed these cute sweatshirts at Disneystore.com for $9 today. I got one for DM, one for DMIL, and one for Auntie C. Plus I got free shipping after buying a cheapie Tangled thing!

My gift bags are starting to fill out nicely!

Great buys!

WOW! Donald came around to your table!! he was only meeting guest out front, Ashton was excited and disappointed (we had missed Donald the year before and he was the main character Ashton wanted to meet that year.

I love the look of Boardwalk, when I was looking at renting points that is where I was leaning too.

Yeah-Donald doesn't do it anymore, just takes the overpriced picture beforehand...I wish they didn't do that.

I am keeping my fingers crossed for Boardwalk..we will see what happens!

Going up to bed (have to get up in five hours for drive to the airport), but wanted to say I LOVE Day 5 plans -- I really like the Animal Kingdom. I've read pros/cons on Big River Grille. I suppose, like anything else, you can have a good meal or a mediocre one.

Yeah! I bought that overpriced picture and the one they took with my camera came out better; go figure! next time I'll be sure to review what I have first! I was put off when he walked up to the table and it was not on the photopass.

I made a few ADR's for the 5K weekend on Sunday.
Friday:Tony's Town Square (we will be at MNSSHP)
Saturday: Lunch at LeCellier-actually, awesome Miss Kayce made it for me!
Sunday: Breakfast at Boma

What do you think?
