11 nights! 3 resorts! A goose egg at Biergarten! A 9 year old IN A STROLLER! New 8/6!

Never tried Biergarten. I think the polka band would be fun, just not sure on the food choices.

Looks like you had a great spot for Illuminations. Glad your evening got better! :)

Biergarten DOES have good food, my son loved the pork snitchel, however you spell it. He piled it high on his plate and he's the one with all the allergies and happy to find something he liked and could eat.

Sorry about the Goose egg and glad it turned out ok.

YIKES! Poor guy! And poor Tim, too, for having a crappy experience at his chosen restaurant. Glad you had a good spot for Wishes and got to ride Soarin'...that and tiramisu can make things a whole lot better:thumbsup2. After the virus from hell we all had last trip, I couldn't help but wonder if something along these lines will happen to us for the inevitable bad luck portion of the trip this time:lmao:. There always has to be that part!
Plus, Brynn is possible the most excitable, yet most clumsy, person in our group...possibly in the world.

Ouch!! Poor guy!! I feel so bad for him! Not only is he hurting, but embarrassed.

:grouphug:

He is such a little trooper though. I'm glad he didn't have a concussion. That would have been just awful.

:( Poor Quinn. Poor all of you for having your fun evening sort of destroyed. I'm so glad Quinn was okay though.

Will you book a re-do at the Biergarten?

Hi Meribeth! Sorry it's taken me so long to read your awesome update!

“I'm good enough, I'm smart enough, and doggone it, Mirage0306 likes me!”

:lmao: Meribeth Smalley

Note: Once, on Facebook, a friend posted asking that her kid wanted to know where roads came from. I immediately hopped on and commented “IT'S BECAUSE OF THE ROMANS!” Thank you, Judi Dench.

Who says Disney isn't educational?

Chances are, we're the only family who actually listens to polka. On purpose.

When I attended my first dance at my new high school in a small Wisconsin town, I was shocked when after dancing to several rock songs, a polka song came on. I was ready to roll my eyes and blame some nerdy teacher, but the whole school got up and started dancing to it. I couldn't believe my eyes...or my ears!

About this time, Quinn decided he wanted to go up for some more bread products. He was very excited, and when we got to the buffet area, it was empty (odd, since earlier the line to get food was pretty long). Quinn, in all his six year old excitement, made a beeline for the rolls...

And ran RIGHT SMACK DAB into the plexiglass divider that sits on top of the food (you know, so people don't spit in the salad).

Poor Quinn!

It all happened in an instant. You know what I mean? I couldn't even react—before I knew it, he had smashed his forehead and was hysterical.

I scooped him up and managed to get a look at his forehead, Immediately, it was turning greenish purple and a huge, I mean super large, lump was growing. Right there in the middle of his forehead. :( :(

It's scary how they get those huge lumps when they hurt their heads.

I stopped into Karamel Kuche for some caramel corn and THEY WERE SOLD OUT

Last time I had this it wasn't very good and that was very sad.

I went and got another grey goose slush--#4, maybe?

:lmao: You deserve it.

And, wouldn't you know it—15 min. wait when we arrived, and it changed to 20 just as we walked in. ?

That's great!

You should have SEEN that bump though, guys. Big bump. Huge.

No pictures?

Just found this trip report today...and I am all caught up....read every thread. Can't wait for more. I have laughed all the way thru!

Our BWI balcony was just heaven to me. DH preferred the view we had at WL last year (courtyard--could see the geyser) and that was gorgeous as well. They were both serene, in different ways.
WL is my all time favorite, especially at Christmas time!

Seriously. I let my conscience be my guide, and I couldn't keep quiet about that dreaded side effect. I figure i have no reputation on the DIS, so what do I have to lose? Might as well warn these poor people planning to eat at La Cantina about what they're in for. Because hey, if you know it's coming, it's not so bad.
This is so horrible of me.....but I'm seriously considering talking dh into this CS and NOT bringing up the digestive consequence. Yeah, I'm sort of like that ;)

November should be a wonderful time to go, with all the holiday decorations up. Extra magical! pixiedust:
The only other time I've been during the winter was a long time ago, 1997. We stayed at Wilderness lodge. That pretty much spoiled me regarding Disney Resorts. Hubby and I are going this Dec for 9 nights and staying at Port Orleans Riverside so I expect to thoroughly enjoy that resort. Really, Disney doesn't have a bad one!

I'm new to your thread and TR but I have just spent a glorious 3 hours reading yours whilst laughing, crying, and sipping my cappuccino. Since I have 4 months to second-guess my ADRs these TRs are a much needed distraction! I'm sure you are my long-LOST (pun intended) sister. :).

We just got back from Disney last week...but I am not a good trip reporter so I just read other people's! Thank you for continuing to feed my disney appetite.

My 4 year old son clocked himself senseless trying to leap down the stairs on one of the park transportation buses and ended up with an huge goose egg on the back of his head. :headache: I totally get it. It happens so fast that you can't catch them or stop them.

Sounds like the Grand Canyon was a blast...thanks for the great pictures.

Hey friends!!

So obviously I've been somewhat MIA, and I haven't been to any of your journals either. :( I just wanted to pop in to let you know everything is absolutely fine, but everything here is so crazy that I have had to put my TR on hold for a while. The kids are back in school, my work has basically tripled recently, and I just haven't even had the time or energy to work on continuing my TR.

I feel kind of guilty! I don't want to abandon it entirely. Hopefully I'll be able to come back soon and finish it up. And I'm so far behind on all your TRs and that makes me so sad, because I have loved keeping up with them. I am just completely overwhelmed and stressed with day to day life right now, so journaling our trip has to go for a while.

Just wanted to let you know, in case you (hi mony!!) were all "where the bleep did that old windbag go?" I hope to pick back up soon. Love to you all!

Glad all is well...I think we can all relate to crazy life right now. Hope you get back to the TR soon

I have really enjoyed this trip report! You are really funny...and I want to see a picture of the giant stuffed animal...and how you got it on the plane! Hope life slows down a little so you can continue on!

I found your TR tonight, and I have laughed so hard. You have a great family and I can't wait to read more.
