My 11 month booking for my home resort OKW is coming up this Tuesday. I want to book January 2021 for 11 nights in a studio.
But in 7 months, I'd like to try for the first 4 nights at Riviera (studio), and remainder at AKL (Savanna view studio).
I have 2 contracts. One, August UY, has 33 points remaining for 2019. The other, October UY, has zero 2019 points left.
So here's the strategy I've been contemplating: Book OKW with October UY contract.
At 7 months, book (or more likely waitlist) Riviera and AKL with the August UY contract, after banking the 33 points.
Does that make sense? Is it the best strategy? Alternately, I could book all 11 nights, and then call 4 days later and have the reservation split in 2.
Thanks for the help!

You can’t book as a single reservation and then ask it to be split. It has to be booked that way from the start,

If you want to do a split, and know that, I would book it that way so that you can change it yourself online at the 7 month window.

Since your 2021 trip is in the 2020 UY for both of them, I’m thinking you could book each part of the trip on different UYs from the start, unless you have a reason to keep both on the same membership.

So, book 4 nights on the Aug UY, using the banked points, and then book the rest on the Oct UY. This will make it easier to stalk and set up waitlist to replace what you have.

Or, do 7 on Aug UY and 4 on Oct UY. The only drawback to this is that if you don’t get any switch to happen, you’d need to link the two reservations.

Regardless, you need to book two reservations from the start to end up with the split stay without having to involve MS at 7 months.
