11 month home club booking question

Say I have real estate at 2 clubs, GF and Poly

GF for 60 points (2 30 point add ons) the Poly for 100 points. Say I want to book a 160 point vacation, will I be able to book the entire vacation at either resort 11 months out or will I have to wait until 7 months out unless I bank/borrow.

You can reserve 11 months out at a resort only with points applicable to that resort. You will have to wait to 7 months out to mix them for one resort. If you think about, if you could buy multiple resorts and use all points at one of the resorts at 11 months out, everyone would buy 25 points at VGF and a few hundred resale at SSR and effectively destroy any 11 month advantage the true owners of VGF would have.

You could book a split stay at 11 mo, but you would have to wait 7mo out to book the GF with your Poly points.
Unless, as you noted, you bank/borrow

Just thought I would also add that this is also true of point transfers in case your thinking of that option to get around it. When you transfer points they keep the same home resort priority. If you know your dates and don't want a split stay, I would book what you can at 11 mo and try to change and book at the resort you want at 7 mo. You may not get it, but at least you can hold something.

As others have already posted, if you want to book a resort more than 7 months in advance, only points at that resort can be used to pay for that reservation. They call it the "home resort booking window" which makes it sound like owners can book 11 months out using any points they like but that's not the case. You have to have enough points from that resort to pay for the reservation. I don't own VGF but I could book there 11 months out if I arranged for a VGF owner to transfer VGF points into my account.

In your scenario, if you wanted to book a 160-point stay at VGF 11 months out, you could bank 60 points from one UY into the next and then borrow 40 points from the next UY to get the 160 points you need for your stay, or whatever combination of banked + current + borrowed points gives you 160 points. Similarly, for a 160-point Poly reservation, you would need to bank and/or borrow some points to get the 160 Poly points you would need to pay for a reservation made more than 7 months out.
