We’re planning to go to DCA on Saturday 11/5. We won’t be able to get there until about noon (this is our only window in our trip since we’re in the area for another event). We haven’t been to the parks since they started the new genie and lightning lane options (have no clue how those work yet), so what are the chances we’ll be able to get on the big rides in DCA when arriving later in the day? Also, I read that is Dapper Days weekend but is that mainly in Disneyland, not DCA? Thank you!

I feel like Dapper Day crowds are in both parks. They have some loosely organized meetups in DL but DCA is so great for period theming I tend to see a lot of Dapper folk in DCA too. But this doesn’t always lead to massive ride lines as a lot of Dapper participants are more into eating and photos than rides.

I can’t really speak to Genie+ availability when arriving that late but I think you could hit some bigger rides for sure via standby if you don’t mind waiting a bit. And you can always do the ILL for Webslingers and RSR if you want to shell out for that.

There will be Dapper Day folks in both parks, but we didn't feel they affect the attraction lines. They're in the parks to be seen, to stroll around, to take photos and dine more than go on rides. It's a fun weekend to be in the parks because many Dapper folks take great effort to make their outfits period authentic.
