Linda, I wish we had some of that rain here!

Atlanta set a record high for August yesterday of 103 degrees. As I was driving home yesterday afternoon, I was in stop and go traffic. My car has one of those outside temperature displays in it. At one point, due to the concrete and exhaust, the air temperature around me reached 134 degrees! And, the high today is predicted at 102!

Fortunately, I took a day of vacation, so I am going to be doing some running around and making sure I am constantly air-conditioned!

Good Morning
Well it is a very rainy day and we finally cooled off. Today we are suppose to reach a high of 63. Well since the weather we are in today so I am going to see what packing I can get done with DS. Tomorrow My mom is taking DS to the Mall scared1: I how she will come back with bags of stuff for him), while me, my dad and DH get some serious packing done!! Then we are going to a late lunch/early dinner. Well I am off to get DS down for his morning nap. Talk to you all later!!

She was just giving me some advice for using Miracle Grow!!

Mike forgot his wedding anniversary and his wife was really ticked off at him.

She told him, "Tomorrow morning, I expect to find a gift in the driveway that goes from 0 to 200 in under 6 seconds, AND IT BETTER BE THERE."

The next morning, Mike got up really early.

When his wife woke up a couple of hours later, she looked out the window, and sure enough, there was a small gift-wrapped box sitting in the middle of the driveway. Confused, the wife put on her robe, ran out to the driveway, and took the box into the house.

She opened it, and found a brand new bathroom scale.

Mike is not yet well enough to have visitors.

My wife and I were sitting at a table at my high school reunion, and I kept staring at a drunken lady swigging her drink as she sat alone at a nearby table.

My wife asks, "Do you know her?"

"Yes," I sighed, "She's my old girlfriend. I understand she took to drinking right after we split up those many years ago, and I hear she hasn't been sober since."

"My God!" says my wife, "who would think a person could go on celebrating that long?"


So you see, there are really are 2 ways to look at everything.......

Hi all, Just popping in to say goodnight I am tired!!! Today I did some house cleaning and had a couple errands to run. Tomorrow we go pick up Jordyn from camp. I am ready for her to come home. John and I are missing her, but Madison has enjoyed having the week to herself. After we get hom we have a neighborhood party to go to

Bob I hope it cools down for you soon. It has been hot here too! I thought today it was suppose to be less humid, but it wasn't. It was hot, but not 100.

Good morning, friends! It's the WEEKEND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gotta run Guido down to the vet this morning with a urine sample (I let Bill take care of those kinds of details ) as I think his kidneys are really getting bad. I've done some research and he has several of the tell-tale signs of kidney failure. So we'll see what the vet says. He's such a good dog ...

Going to see The Simpsons movie this afternoon with my 17yo nephew, 21yo nephew (who is home for a few days before going to Spain to study all next year), Mutt and my BIL. I told the 21yo to be on the lookout for the Magic next year when it is in Barcelona so he can get us some pics and send them to me for posting!

Good Morning Folks.

Just checking in before I go out to a meeting this morning for church. We reached 102 degrees yesterday, but hey, there is a cold front coming in and it is only going to get up to 98 today!

well I am feeling better today but still NOT good. So I am sitting around again today. At least I am able to sit up today, not lay down.

Bob, try and stay cool. Your not alone, we are in the same boat here. going to be 96 today but with heat index they are saying 110 again
Greg is about to go out and mow the grass before it gets too bad. He doesnt want to go out before 8:00 a.m. so the neighbors will be up.

Morning all:

Well another warm day here also....but its summer and I love summer....I always get sad when fall sets in. I like fall....but its what comes after fall that I really hate. Months and months of cold and snow...yuk!!!!
Anyway, Shell: for Guido....its so sad when they get sick or are not healthy....I'v been there and plus my Jack is not well....so I know....it's a hard time.

Bob.....well Bob, what can I say????? Your still in the dog house so you better behave this weekend....

I'm enjoying my coffee and surfing disboards, my favorite way to start the day DH thinks I'm pathetic.

We had the neighbors over last night for margaritas. That's DH's calling, he makes a mean margarita When we ran out of margaritas we started drinking wine, so I'm a little slow this morning.

DH asked me if there are any kids the same age in group. DD will be 11 and DS will be 9. They really enjoyed having pen pals the last two trips. Is there a list on any of the previous pages with names and cabin numbers??

Well, off to make dip for my nephew's birthday party tonight.
